We spent 3 wonderful nights on Petite Reine, an 80 year old cereal barge moored on the Arles Canal. The accommodation in the Captain's Cabin, having a quiet glass of wine on deck in the evening and a magnificent meal shared with our delightful hostess, Florence, made for a truly memorable and enjoyable experience in a unique and quirky B&B.... Staying on a barge is nothing like staying in a hotel. This is a person's home that has been converted over the years from a working boat to a B&B. It's quirky and full of things the owner has gathered. We were in the forward cabin, but I would recommend the aft cabin, if available. The bathroom that has been... More

If you are going to rent rooms then certain standards need to be met. This place was dirty. It felt unloved, and was unkempt. The towel I was offered looked like one I would use on the dog and was tiny! Breakfast was merely bread, coffee and juice.....and no plate! I travelled independently but with a friend and yet we... Never saw such a dirty, unordened place. A shame - we escapped from this awfull place within 10 minutes - and never get any money back. Awoid this horrible dirty place!!! I travelled around the world, from South Africa to South America, from Japan to Iceland, but never ever saw such a big mess.

The most relaxing and chilled out holidays I ever had In Arles! Lovely surroundings, clean river, the water just ideal to have a swim at any time of the day (straight from the boat!). I was extremely happy to moved here from apartment I was renting in the heart of the town. The boat is spacious, clean, nicely decorated, with... More

We planned to spend just a night at La petit Reine but we ended up staying three nights at the end of our vacation trip to relax before heading back to Paris. The relaxing atmosphere and familiar ambience made us feel at home. The boat is very charming and calm. Th owner is a very welcoming and nice lady and... More
