The setting is quintessential French provincial, the landscaping is lovely, the swimming pool is perfect, but what really sets Pavillon de la Torse apart is the wonderful innkeepers, Marie and Francois! We stayed 3 nights and every time there was something big or little we needed, they were right there to help. Planning an itinerary for the day, or the...

Thankyou Marie and Francois for a wonderful stay. Excellent tips for day trips, restaurants and sight seeing options. Rooms were clean and presentable and the location was close to amenities. Would recommend as a good central base.

If you have interesting friends with a beautiful home in Aix who are willing to accommodate you, then by all means stay with them; otherwise François and Marie fulfill that role gracefully. The garden was breathtaking in late May, the historic building charming, breakfasts were fresh and varied, the rooms very comfortable. The Pavillon de la Torse is a blissful...

We had wonderful 4 day stay in Aix en Provence, at Pavillon de la Torse. Marie and Francois were the most gracious of hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. From the beautiful freshly prepared breakfasts including Marie's homemade cheese omelettes and freshly baked croissants, not to mention the fresh fruit and homemade yogurt each morning as well.! Francois...

Six of us, three couples, just stayed here for 1 week. The property is in excellent condition and very well appointed. The grounds are absolutely beautiful! Marie and Francois were extremely helpful from our first inquiry to greeting us upon arrival to being immediately available by cell phone to answering any questions. Their "tips" we're spot on for restaurants and...

We spent 4 nights at this gorgeous b&b in Aix, and really, it was the single most wonderful part of our visit to Aix. This 18th century home has been lovingly restored, and our room was the single most comfortable room we had anywhere in France -- large bedroom, large bathroom, very quiet, comfortable bedding, very clean. The grounds of...

My stay at Pavillon de la Torse was hands down the best stay I've ever had anywhere!! Marie and Francois, besides providing an uplifting, calming, replete with Provencal ambiance, and downright exceptionally attractive inn, -- are themselves so gracious and generous. I enjoyed ease of conversation with them, their humor, and I appreciated their exceptional sensitivity to my needs. The...

We and another couple recently spent four nights at Pavillon de la Torse. It could not have been a better experience. The historic house has been fully restored and provides a spacious and yet intimate setting. The grounds are large and extremely well kept, providing a lovely area to relax and walk. Our bedroom was large with excellent bathroom facilities....

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of spending 3 nights here while traveling with friends. We had taken a river cruise, so were a bit spoiled. However, this property lived up to our expectations. Marie and Francois were wonderful hosts who greeted us warmly upon our arrival, hosted a happy hour for us, and provided recommendations for restaurants...

Our first visit (3 nights) and I can't imagine how it could have been better. The location is within walking distance of town but set back off the road so it feels more like a country villa. The home is beautiful and is surrounded by well kept landscape. Our room was large and well equipped. Our hosts, Marie and Francois,...
