We had a lovely stay at la Torse thanks to our gracious hosts Francois and Marie. The grounds are huge with beautiful gardens and a pool. We did have some trouble finding the entrance gate but once you enter the property you drive up a long tree lined driveway which is stunning. The house is from the 14th century and... More

Thanks to our hosts, Francois and Marie, who turned the B&B's beauty into a fond memory! Pros - Did I say Francois and Marie - beautiful grounds (see our pics) - huge pool and and poolside area (see pic) - quiet escape within walking (or short bus ride) to the center of Aix - delicious, filling breakfasts - no communication... We stayed at la Torse for four nights in late September and really enjoyed our stay. We had a little difficulty finding the gate to the "estate", but once we sorted that out, the rest of the visit was wonderful. On our first night, we were invited to "Happy Hour" with our hosts, Marie and Francois, and the other two... More

We had a wonderful stay at Pavillon de la Torse on our honeymoon ten years ago and wanted to have a tenth anniversary there this October. The swimming pool was open and the grounds around it were so beautiful and manicured, I took a long relaxing nap out there! Once again, Marie and Francois were absolutely delightful. Marie spoiled us... More

We had a hard time finding the gate but with the help of Marie and Francois, the owners, coming to show us the way we found it. As we drove in my wife and I both said "Wow". We have been in a lot of B&B's but here was a beautiful estate house in a park like setting. It turns... More

We stayed here in two rooms over four nights and had an absolutely tremendous stay. The rooms were ample and the amenities unparalleled in a B&B. We enjoyed this lovely estate as our home-base as we explored the surrounding sites, sounds, and tastes. I will remember this stay fondly for many years.

Wonderful place to stay . Includes lovely breakfast , clean comfortable rooms and beautiful grounds. Also has washer and a pool. Home away from home. The owners are helpful to plan your day or to plan your evening restaurant choice. Their choices of restaurants were excellent with lovely variations. Location perfect for a scenic drive or a walk into Aix

Cannot say enough about this place. Mary and Francois were incredible hosts, going above and beyond...their breakfast was delicious, the pavillon is beautiful and welcoming, and they even stored our recently purchased wines in their wine cellar during our stay. The grounds are spectacular, and the pool is lovely. A beautiful retreat very near to the center of Aix. Really... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and can't recommend it highly enough. The property has an air of regal splendour, the gardens are beautiful and the 25metre swimming pool is divine. As the only guests, we were treated like royalty by our hosts Marie and Francois. Nothing was too much trouble and we received lots of help and guidance to assist... More

From the moment we drove down the long tree lined driveway, past the manicured pool area and arrived at the beautifully renovated French house we sensed we were going to have a great B&B experience. We were right. Mary and Francois are thoughtful and caring hosts and provided us with suggested day trips, restaurant recommendations and of course a hearty... More
