I was fortunate to spend five night here in October. It’s an easy Uber from the Marseille airport. Check in was thoughtful and they were happy to have guests returning. The artwork throughout the property is gorgeous. The back terrace area is a tranquillity escape after a busy day. Ordered room service for a late lunch when I arrived and also a couple of breakfasts during my stay. The service was always prompt, my orders were correct, and the staff was extremely kind and professional. I would especially like to mention Eve & Jonathan for outstanding service. After a year of travel restrictions, I appreciated the way they managed a safe breakfast buffet experience with personal / individual tongs, serving baskets, etc. The room was very comfy and on par with the Renaissance brand. The property is a good choice for business in Aix as well as for exploring the local area. Sixt rental car, bus station and supermarkets are within an easy walk. Would definitely consider another stay if in the area again.

We stayed here just before a local lockdown in Marseille/Aix. The hotel was very clean, with the distancing and masks rules well observed. We felt very safe and well taken care of. Well furnished and pleasant suite, good L'Occitane en Provence toiletries. Hope to be back when "Better days will return".

Perfectly average hotel, comfortable and clean but very basic in design and services. It's practical choice but the hotel itself is not a destination, it's a good place to sleep. The hotel is located close to the old town city centre but not in it. It was in a nice quiet area. The breakfast was standard hotel breakfast nothing special, very expensive for the food offered (which is pretty common). The staff wore masks but did not enforce a mask policy in public areas although there were signs asking for masks to be worn it was not generally accepted. The hotel was out of hand soap, so facial soap was provided instead. When I requested hand soap, more facial soap was brought. It's better to directly call reception rather than using the Bonvoy app for hotel requests. I would consider staying there again.

My husband and I stayed at the Renaissance for three nights. Our room was clean, spacious, nicely decorated, and had a very comfortable bed. The ten minute walk to town was safe and allowed us to explore Aix on foot. We ate at the hotel restaurant for several meals. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. Entrees were explained and wine pairings were recommended. The chef even came out to greet us during one dinner. He was rightfully proud of the food being served and made us feel very welcomed. The reception staff, concierge, and manager were among the friendliest and helpful we’ve ever met. During our time in Aix, I bought a wooden tractor and farm animals for my grandson who was turning two during our travels. The hotel staff worked quickly to get it boxed and shipped to him in time for his birthday. They even called my daughter in California to make sure the package arrived. What can I say? The hotel is a great place to stay, but the service and personal attention make it a very, very special place. Thanks to all.

The people at the check in were so nice. They weren’t too terribly busy so they upgraded us to a suite which was quite nice. When we came back from dinner they snuck in and gave us some chocolates and champagne. Very nice place.
