Drove from the lower part of Dordogne to the hotel and waited in the lot until Madam arrived at 4:00 p.m. Started explaing in French that there was some problem. Luckily there was a Dutch guy who could translate. Apparently the owners daughter accepted our reservation after they were fully booked. Madam attempted to help us find a hotel, but...

We had two nights here and wished we could have stayed longer. Everything about this home is beautiful. Fabienne the hostess is a lovely, friendly lady and very helpful. The house is absolutely beautiful. We could not fault anything and will definitely return with our friends but for longer next time.

We stayed one night on our travels down South. It is a lovely house with a beautiful garden. We were lucky enough to arrive on a sunny day so we could spend time outside. The lady owner was very friendly and she has decorated the house with lots of lovely and interesting things - the breakfast was continental style at...

Staying for a wedding with family and friends with people coming and going at various times this was an ideal property. It has very flexible accommodation. It is very charming, classic French style and every facility you need including a pool. It has a secluded location but is very close to the centre of Poitiers. Ideal for family holidays and...

This beautiful property has been lovingly restored and maintained to provide a refuge from the city center. We happened to arrive on a sunny day when all the roses and irises were blooming, and it was a pleasure to see--especially the splendid centuries-old cedar of Lebanon at the end of the garden which has been carefully trimmed and preserved. Parking...

A splendid setting with a variety of accommodation - all very comfortable and personally designed. A good breakfast and, as so often in chambres d'hôte, interesting people to meet. The only drawback is the lack of nearby restaurants although the pizzeria is fine and offers a range of food. Otherwiseit's back into the town.

We stayed for 2 nights in the "La Tour Tronquee" room and enjoyed the privacy of the place (with little kitchen) and "funky + personal" design of the owner. It had a very uncomplicated feel with a friendly and warm hostess, Fabienne. Easy parking and good place to store our bicycles. Poitiers has some good restaurants and is a nice...

We stayed in the suite with our two young children, and it was great. As well as two quirkily furnished rooms, and a large bathroom, we had use of a little library/play area stocked with toys and games. Perfect. Breakfast was delicious, and Fabienne was very helpful with places to eat in Poitiers. Sadly it was grey and drizzly when...

This B & B exceeded our expectations in every way. The hostesses, Fabienne, was warm and welcoming, helpful but not at all intrusive. It's a bit like you are staying in her home but she never makes you feel anything but totally comfortable and at home. We are here with three children and would recommend this to anyone - with...

My partner and I spent just one perfect night at Les Cours du Clain before meeting family in France. We were child free for the night and wanted to relax in peaceful, beautiful surroundings and it was everything and more that we could have dreamt of. We were welcomed by Fabiennes lovely daughter and was offered a bottle of their...
