Enjoy your stay in Cognac!
We had a fantastic 3 night stay at this wonderful Hotel. The hotel is beautiful, charming and positioned perfectly in the centre of Cognac. The very best thing about the hotel is the staff who are amazing and look after your every need and panic ! We were at a wedding and our taxi firm was not reliable but the hotel sorted it every time. Joseph on reception deserves a special mention as does the delightful Hotel owner who had saved our rooms over the three years of covid. We had a great time and cannot praise the service highly enough. We will be back. Cognac is a fabulous place with so much to do. We ate in the restaurant - excellent and used the bar regularly - what a holiday. Thank you.
Wow. What an experience the heritage is! The hotel has been recently renovated to a very high standard and has everything you would ever need. The reception was very well handled and all of the staff have been absolutely wonderful. A special mention to Louise, sarah and carla who were just the best! Nothing was ever too much for us all considering we were with a huge party of family attending a wedding. The room we had was an accessibility room, decent sized but may be a struggle with a wheelchair but table could be moved if needed. The bed was sublime! I have never slept so well and huge! The shower was excellent, although we did have an issue with water leaking into the bedroom but both the cleaners who were excellent (saline and nadia) sorted the issue straight away. The breakfast was lovely, did have to get down there early to get a cooked breakfast though as the hot food isn't replenished. Fresh bread and pastries however were plentiful and delicious. The tv in the room we had wasn't great for english channels but we were hardly in the room so not much of an issue. The bar is always open for whatever you need. The location of the hotel is simply perfect as it is close to the main areas and close to the stunning park. We didn't go to the restaurant but heard very good things about the food so well worth a try! We will hope to return as a couple in the future and look forward to it very much! Thank you all so very much. Rea and Dionne room 201…
We had visited one of the brandy houses on a very hot day, and were struggling to find anywhere open in the centre of town in the mid-afternoon. The Heritage was open - probably because it was run by Brits! Had a pleasant snack and drinks in an interior courtyard. Great ambience.
Great budget hotel in a very central location - accepts dogs and the park for 'walkies' is only a couple of blocks away. Friendly staff, made apologies for the building work in progress which has made the place pretty chaotic. Our room had been refurbished and was fresh and clean even if the decor is a bit haphazard - a matter of taste. Very comfortable bed, shower room was of a generous size but the WC was tiny - had to straddle the loo in order to close the door! Decent continental breakfast and though we did not dine in the Brasserie it was busy and some delicious smells indicated good French cooking.
Hotel Heritage is a venerable old hotel, the oldest part is from the 18th century, the room is simple, clean with separate bathroom and toilet, bar and restaurant on the 1st floor, cozy backyard is the restaurant. The breakfast is simple, served in the bar as well as in price. The hotel is located in the middle of the pedestrian zone, within easy reach of bars and restaurants.
hotel heritage is a venerable old hotel with soul from ancient times, the oldest part is from the 18th century. The hotel has 19 rooms that look new renovated. Located in the middle of the pedestrian zone of Cognac, a short distance to cafés, bars and restaurants. Breakfast was simple but well organized at the hotel bar.
We booked this hotel for a one night stay in Cognac because it is very central and walking distance of shops and restaurants. On arrival, we found that new owners had recently bought it and that it was undergoing extensive renovation. A very helpful lady - who we were told later was the owner - was reluctant to put us up as the only available room did not have a working a/c. Instead she personally escorted us to another nearby hotel. Superb service. We noted that the renovations were excellent and that what had been a very ordinary hotel was starting to look really elegant.
This hotel has a lot of character and so has the owners. The rooms are simple without air condition, so it can be very hot! The location is right on the shopping precinct with coffehouses and restaurants around the corner. Walking distance to the best known Cognac houses.
Lovely old building, with bright and colourful interior, winding old staircases. Great size room two double beds, room was spotlessly clean. Woken by the church bells chiming. Breakfast was basic but fine. Lovely couple run it. I hope to return when next in the area.
We needed a room for an overnight stay in Cognac and Hotel Heritage was perfect. Location is dead centre, and parking is close by. The room was small but clean and the bath/ shower was just fine. I would say that what makes the place is the different decor, albeit a bit dated, which you either love or hate... But which fits in perfectly with the mood in Cognac. I would say perfect for a night or two.
