A 2 night stay, Facilities, Parking extra, Breakfast expensive and plastic, cheap yoghurt, frozen mini croissants etc WiFi only allows one device at a time ... We came back from a restaurant at 10:30 to find the public area closed, no bar, no reception staff. The Room Too hot water temperature was scalding the shower was a simple mixer that fluctuated from freezing to scalding The toilet/WC would not flush waste away The Toilet paper dispenser was not properly set up, we used our travelling spare after lugging it around for four years There was a light on the TV that could not be turned off The Quilt was too heavy and the ultimate sin ... tucked in!

The hotel is well situated very close to the centre of Cognac. The bedroom and bathroom were reasonably spacious and comfortable with a fantastic shower and although we had a problem with the bathroom heating the receptionist was very helpful and provided us with a radiator for the night. The private parking is excellent. The staff were charming and we will definitely return on our next visit to Cognac.

Basic hotel ok for one night. Our room small and dated. Secure parking is 6 euros. We found the hotel cheaper on booking.com so they matched the price. Small details lacking - only 1 teacup, no milk, but overall adequate.

The temperatures outside were unbelievable, but the hotel was well airconditioned...even the rooms. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly and accurate and breakfast was good. The hotel is on walking distance from the town centre. We'll be back.

The hotel is located in Cognac town centre close to the main square. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are several close by. It is an ideal location for visiting the cognac houses, of which there are a several within walking distance. Staff are friendly and approachable and most speak English. The rooms are not overly big but are adequate for a couple of nights stay. En-suite bathrooms are also on the small size and are rather functional. There is covered secure parking available at 6.00€ per night, which is handy in a city centre location though there is public parking nearby. The buffet breakfast is somewhat limited in scope and somewhat expensive at 10.00€ To sum up the hotel is OK for a stopover or a few nights stay but you probably wouldn't want to stay much longer.

Good central location for visiting one of the Cognac houses. Covered secure car parking available so you can sample the cognac and not need to drive back to the hotel. Some nice restaurants available jut at the top of the road, or use the hotel restaurant.

A nice size hotel, reception was nicely staffed, brisk and precise. Our twin room was just a bit neat in size for two twin beds and the two of us with our gear for three nights, but comfortable bed with clean fresh linen, bath towels were large, clean and fluffy white. The ensuite was good, bath and shower, but no shower screen! Breakfast was continental, plenty of it, fresh meats and cheese but not a great selection, plus croissants, fruit, yogurt and coffee machine. Always clean where ever you went, and adequate parking in secure area at rear of hotel. Robert at reception was more than helpful and always with a smile. With a bar and seating area which is not large, but pleasant to sit in, this is a nicely run homely hotel, quiet and relaxing, and handy for the central area nearby. Nice to recommend. Also, opposite the hotel is a great little wine bar serving a wonderful selection of wines and snacks, hosted by a very experienced sommelier, who knows what it's all about. Well worth a visit. Very central location and very good free wi-fi. That's all you'll get. Beyond that, this is a very basic hotel that's reminiscent of past decades. Good value and very close to restaurants, cafes and the Cognac houses. Limited breakfast and services, suitable only for short business stays. Make sure you don't get a room overlooking the carpark, due to the noise problem.

I more or less expected what we got. A very dated, low key hotel, with rooms and facilities to match. It was clean however, but the a/c was a token guesture in our room, not unless it was turned off or broken ? We did take advantage of the safe, secure parking to the rear of the hotel, which was charged at 6 euros. As correctly stated in previous reviews, the hotels strongest asset is its proximity to the local bars and restaurants, which are at the top of its road. Cognac: It was our first time of visiting. There is a nice sprinkling of bars and restaurants around the main island, which is busy and noisy with traffic. We also found an Indian restaurant. A full day and night here would most probably be adequate. Gary... Helpful votes encourage...

This hotel is in a good location in the centre of town, and is friendly and clean. But, I was asked to stay in a building over the road from the hotel (which seems to be part of the hotel but is a little odd) and my experience was that the room was fine to sleep in but otherwise extremely plain. It was clean and the bed was comfortable, and the shower good, but nothing more. Breakfast in the hotel was also rather simple, and the bar for evening drinks was nothing more than an annexe to reception. I'd stay here again as a place to sleep, but I wouldn't be wanting to spend time here during the day. It's not that interesting.
