Very nice room, comfortable bed, fantastic swimmingpool and good breakfast. To bad the restaurant wasn't open in the weekend but only during the week. We ate in the wonderful village and had a great time visiting Cognac.
Lovely clean and spacious hotel with cute pool and frienfly staff. Buffet breakfast was filling and plentifull. Room was a good size and shower was powerful and spacious. Good lication around a 20 minute walk from restaurants in the centre
Delightful family-run hotel [whole family helped sort out a W-Fi problem]. Main accommodation is in chalet-style blocks of [separate] bedrooms. Well organised for Covid-19 distancing, including in the breakfast room where an excellent self=service breakfast was provided. Absolutely lovely pool - so refreshing on a hot afternoon. Reasonable stroll into central Cognac.
We needed an inexpensive hotel in Cognac for just one night. L’Oliveraie was excellent bearing in mind we paid under 100€ for B&B for two people. The room was spotless, the breakfast excellent, so was the service and we even enjoyed a dip in the pool.
Located right next to the train station. Huge family rooms...best I've been in. Big bathroom. Air conditioning and a nice little pool. Staff are friendly and the place is spotless. Lovely garden. Private parking. 10 minute walk from the centre of a lovely town. Would highly recommended. Wifi available and a great breakfast.
Great stopover. Unfortunately weather was poor when we were here- the pool looked great. Opposite the train station but v quiet. Unfortunately found the bed a bit hard so didn't sleep so well. Room was quite spacious. Good value. Had a good selection for breakfast: cereal, yoghurt, fruit bread, cheese, cake, danish, endless coffee. Very helpful staff. A good level of English spoken - which was great considering my appalling French. Parking was ideal - v handy and secure in private car park. About a 10 min walk from main centre with restaurants etc. V pleasant stay.
spacious comfortable rooms , good location walking distance to town , quiet although near station Only problem - very poor wifi. Clean and has off road parking. helpful staff who spoke some English Would recommend when visiting Cognac and the Blues festival
We got here but by the grace of God as we do not speak any French. The hotel gave us the gate code but is was followed by # not * but fortunately we figured it out. The room was lovely but small but very comfortable. It was very nice to sit outside with a cocktail. The pool was nice but very warm. We rented bike also and rode all over Cognac. That was the best.
This hotel is a nice stop for a trip to Cognac. we stayed here two days in 2015 and 2016 and visited the Hine Cognac Distiller (also very good!) It has a swimming pool and the rooms are very spacious perfect for 2 or 3 children. We used to stop here on our way to the basque country in spain. We do not take a breakfast or diner, because there are to many good (real) french restaurants in the neighborhood. The parking is for us a great bonus, because we travel with a small caravan.
We stayed here two nights on our tour of the southwest France. The owners were great and we enjoyed using the pool. We had the set menu on the first night which was good and included a carafe of wine and four courses for €19 each. It's very quiet location even though it's by the train station, we only heard one train and was this was very quiet. It's a short walk into the centre of town with lots of restaurants and Cognac houses to visit.
