We recently stayed at L'Absinthe. Our room was absolutely beautiful with very upscale boutique bathroom and attractive contemporary furniture, even though the building is historic. A very nice quality continental breakfast was served in a very pleasant little room. Be advised, though, that it is really impossible to approach this hotel by car. Your best bet is to immediately pull...

This is a beautiful small harbour town, a bit like Venice because everywhere you look there is something wonderful to see and L'Absinthe was perfectly situated. We stayed for 2 nights in an annexe room which offered a great view of one of the harbours. Our room ( no 11) had three large windows to the harbour and a very...

We stayed here on our way back to the UK from Brittany. We booked a suite (room 7) as a last splurge. We were not disppointed! Our room was in the attic of the main building (they have some rooms across the road). It had lovely old worldly charm, which was very much in keeping with Honfleur old town in...

My wife and I stayed in the old part of the hotel, the room was huge. One suspected that the room itself dated back hundreds of years (with the exposed oak ceiling and support beams) but it had been brought into the 21 century with modern bathroom fittings and wall finishers. I think the mix of the two went very...

We stayed in the annex but the location is excellent. The room was well appointed, quiet and we had a beautiful view of the water. The parking is a problem. It is just best to pay for the public parking along the water and bring your bags to the hotel. It would have been nice to have an electric kettle and...

We loved loved loved this hotel. The staff are warm and welcoming. I was glad I had some high school French to rely on as at least one person did not speak English but we communicated perfectly and everyone is very patient! The breakfast is GREAT - well worth the price. Big selection, freshly-made lattes, cocoas. They work hard to...

This hotel is well situated in the old part of Honfleur, literally only a couple of minutes flat stroll to the old harbour. As other reviews have mentioned, the hotel reception is across the cobblestoned Rue de la Ville from the L'Absinthe restaurant of the same name. The Rue de la Ville has bollards to prevent cars entering from the...

We were initially worried by the word "annexe" next to our booking but this was a really excellent hotel. It's very central, overlooking the harbour and convenient for a couple of days in Honfleur. The annexe referred to is just next door to the hotel restaurant in another charming old building. The rooms were spacious, bright, beautifully furnished and ours...

A great little hotel in a charming location. Lovely views, luxurious new decor and fittings and very helpful reception. Wished we could have stayed more than one night!

Finding this hotel can be a problem as the sat nav normally looses you in Honfleur. Entrance to the hotel is also confusing we ended up (like a lot of people) in the restaurant. Booked this room through Booking.com and was supposed to have Room 1 (which I assume was the cheapest) however, was shown to Room 6 ( this...
