When I saw the first pictures of this latest addition of St Simeon collection last year I've been immediately impressed by the elegance of Hotel Saint Delis, by its charm, its character and its beautiful design. After several bookings I've been forced to cancel due to the pandemic but luckily I've been finally able to manage to go and discover this fantastic hotel gem these last few days and what a delightful surprise. Hidden behind a door in the most charming part of Honfleur at just a few steps from the Harbour, the exquisite Eugene Boudin museum or the lovely St Catherine's church, this hotel is like an treasure chest. After two years of renovation, this house where the painter Henri de Saint Delis lived became which is today possibly one of the finest hotels in France and even in Europe. Surrounded by a manicured garden where it's so wonderful to relax on sunny days, this intimate and ultra charming hotel has only 9 keys for lucky guests. Each room and suite is like a home sweet home, impressively warm and cozy,  ultra comfortable and designed by a Belgian interior designer with an unparalleled timeless elegance. The Jr Suite #5 is so romantic and a very spacious duplex space with outstanding views on the roofs of Honfleur and the Seine estuary... simply gorgeous. If Normandy hasn't got so much interests to discover, it would be hard to leave from this room and considering your own immaculate marble bathroom to be like a little spa with luxurious facilities like shower steam room and bathtub jacuzzi, it's even harder. So, yes, considering a strong passion for luxury hotels and having got the chance to travel in the most exceptional properties around the world, I can only say that Hotel Saint Delis is in my worldwide top ten list and the very best for service thanks to the most adorable team ever headed by the Maitre de Maison Anne-Sophie who is full of kindness looking constantly how to make the guests so happy. We felt treated like royalties all the time and everyone in the super charming team knows perfectly how to anticipate each of your needs always with a generous smile, always with a nice word, always with a great gesture... sensational because they're all so professional and their only goal is to please all the guests taking time to talk and providing plenty of little attentions. I want to congratulate Anne-Sophie,Gregoire, Caroline (and, the entire team because they're ALL super) ... for their kindness and generosity. They're impeccable and have the best skills to step higher in the hospitality industry because there is nothing nicer than working with heart. On normal times, this house doesn't offer dinners but due to the pandemic, things have changed and in room dining is now a true culinary experience. We felt to be like in a gastronomic restaurant. Food was delicious and service top notch. We commend the efforts made by the team at Hotel Saint Delis to adapt to this situation and we were excited every evening to dine in our own "restaurant". Not less excited about morning treats because the breakfasts are exceptional, so generous and with delicious local products. The hardest time was leaving this hotel where we can't wait to be back to have the honor again to be in such a beautiful place fully pampered by the most fantastic team ever. In one word, to conclude, let's just say that Hotel Saint Delis is OUTSTANDING...

It’s usually quite uninteresting to analyze a perfect score. But we would really like to praise the team for all the efforts. It is such a challenging time, and no hotel is certain for business these days. Our experience was beyond our expectations, with limited means due to the pandemic, we were so pleasantly surprised with what you managed to achieve. The staff looked after us so well, all the respect to them. We were so welcomed by them all, and the service was just fantastic! An extra notification for Victor who really went over and beyond to sort us out. Truly appreciated. We were so rested upon departure that we forgot a work phone!

Due to Covid, I could not travel this year and decided to stay in France. Therefore, my best traveling friend and I agreed to go To Honfleur and opted for Hotel Saint-Delis to celebrate New Year. We opted for the 3-night stay package “The magic of the season's greetings" (3 nights in double room, breakfasts every morning, one 3-course dinner, New Year’s Eve dinner, 50 min. massage in their sister property La Ferme Saint Siméon, 30 min. horse-carriage ride. This small hotel (9 rooms) is a truly little gem few steps from the center of Honfleur. It opened recently (January 2020). We stayed in the annex (room 8 - classic room), a half-timbered house. There are only 2 classic rooms and they are located in the annex. Our room was on the ground floor. As soon as we entered our room, we knew it was the perfect place. The low ceiling, the wooden beams bring such a cozy atmosphere. The room is small but the size was perfect and sufficient for us and the bathroom has a very good size. The steam shower is a real plus especially in winter. The amenities are from Hermes. Fragrance is Un Jardin sur le Nil. The room was very quiet. Due to the low ceiling some guests might find the room a little bit dark. We loved it. It gave the room such a special atmosphere, especially during winter. However, for those who want a brighter room they can opt for one in the main house (high ceiling and window overlooking the countryside). The bed was large and comfy. And the pillows a real delight for a good night sleep. The interiors are tastefully decorated with noble materials and they tried, as much as possible, to keep the original beams. The mix of modernity while preserving the soul of the building is a success. For example the classic fireplace in the breakfast room and the amazing modern concrete ceiling pendant light. The hotel is the historic house of the painter Henri de Saint-Delis, a French painter from the beginning of the 20th century who, during his lifetime, was known only to his friends, painters like him. Indeed, all his life he kept his works, refusing to exhibit them, and even more to sell them. We had the chance to visit the painter's room, n° 3, located on the first floor above the reception, a very charming room. We also visited a superior and a deluxe room located in the main house. Breakfast was sumptuous which and delicious. Cold cuts, ham, salmon, wonderful viennoiseries/pastries. Lovely home-made jam and a delicious hot chocolate to die for. After such a great breakfast, we would easily skip lunch. Due to Covid, all meals were served in the room and what a great service. The New Year’s Eve dinner was just amazingly outstanding. It was not an ordinary room service but a luxury Michelin star restaurant coming to our room. The courses were brought within an interval of 20 min. each, and we could adjust the timing if necessary. Chef Matthieu Pouleur and his team gave their best to the guests to taste their beautiful and savory cuisine in the privacy of their room. The location of the hotel is just perfect: close enough to walk to the town and the harbor. It’s a 5 min. walk to the famous St Catherine church. The hotel is the sister property of the famous Ferme Saint Siméon. Last but not least, the team is wonderful and we would like to extend a special thanks to Caroline the Guest Relations Manager and Anne-Sophie the Manager of the hotel who made our stay a pure delight. In conclusion, Hotel Saint Delis, a true “délice” and a beautiful way to start 2021!
