Stayed for one night between two rooms with family. Check in was great - pleasant and efficient staff member, and our request for rooms next to each other had been acknolwedged and actioned. Our two (identical) rooms were in desperate need of maintenence and a deep clean. The bathroom and toilet had extractor fans caked in dirt, and exposed pipes filthy with dust. The bathroom had a bath with shower head attachment - but nowhere to hang the shower head.
Very easy to find, and well located just on the outskirts of time and there was plenty of parking here when we arrived. We experienced a quick and very friendly check in and we were able to go straight to the pool. The pool is lovely, and under cover but with access to a little garden for sun bathing. There is also a sauna which can be booked. Our room was tastefully furnished and was a good size with a comfortable bed. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the lovely vieux bassin area of the town where we were able to get a choice of places for dinner. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as we were leaving early enough so it was handy to be able to buy a few provisions in Lidl which was just across the road. We did observe that the car park was very full in the morning when we got up but the owner seemed to be well on top of moving cars around into available spaces to avoid people being blocked in!…
We stayed in a one bed apartment here after Christmas. Great sized apartment, comfy big bed, lovely bathroom, separate shower room, mini kitchen with all appliances , hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Bed settee in,lounge could be a bit more comfy to sit on, and tv small, but no UK channels anyway! Never sure why France can not deliver some UK tv when it’s only 100 miles or so away from UK. Probably no,problem during summer months but on cold dark winter nights it would be nice for UK guests to be catered for! Nice little balcony from lounge with table and chairs, great for nicer weather. Lovely swimming pool, sauna and steam room, very atmospheric in the dark! Great free car parking, and only 10 minutes walk into Honfleur. Lidl supermarket across a busy road for all your grocery needs.…
We stayed for 2 nights with out Labrador 23-25 December, Positives: good reception check in with friendly and helpful man; large dual aspect room at end of corridor; useful kitchenette cupboard (great when you have a dog); good walk opposite hotel by river into town; nice warm pool and sauna; breakfast good with usual ham, cheese, salami plus bacon and scrambled egg. Negatives: slightly tired decoration and flooring (although, with a dog, it didn’t worry me), hard bed and pillows; toilet smelled like gents urinal; no fitting for shower head so you have to shower whilst holding shower head. On balance, the positives certainly outweighed the negatives and we would stay here again.
My husband really wanted to visit Normandy and tour the historic beaches and so, the towns are very small and quaint, like the hotels. We really did quick research and selected the Tulip Inn and had a great time. Simple interiors but spotless and very delicious breakfast buffet. One night we used the sauna, very comfortable and clean. Suggested place to stay in Normandy.
