B&B have a delightful little dog (Casey) and two cats. My wife is allergic to cats/dogs but they don't go in guest rooms and this wasn't a problem for us - just good to be aware if you have allergies. Comfy bed, stunning location and fantastic views. Jerry and Judy are very welcoming hosts and made us a beautiful breakfast,...

Gerry and Judy are the most kind and generous hosts! They treated us like friends who stayed over at their beautiful home. We enjoyed everything they provided at Gemstow, the hospitality, the thoughtfully prepared delicious breakfast, the beautiful yard with the amazing humming birds... I am very grateful for the wonderful B&B experience Gerry and Judy brought to me and...

Located in Five islands right on Hwy 2 headed towards Cape d'Or. It is an older house originally built in the 1850's. It has been nicely renovated and is now a very comfortable B&B. Judy and Jerry are very hospitable hosts. Our room was nicely furnished and comfortable, the bathroom was small, but the shower worked well with plenty of...

Judy and Gerry are very kind hosts offering a comfortable stay with delicious breakfast. We stayed there at the end of the summer season (SEP 2015) and were worried as there was no new post on trip advisor for this bed and breakfast since 2014. But we can assure everybody, that it is still very nice to stay there and...

The Gemstow is a wonderful little B&B within sight of Five Islands Provincial Park in Colchester, Nova Scotia. It is run by Gerry and Judy Roberts who are two of the friendliest host/hostesses it has ever been my pleasure to stay with. I felt immediately at home there in their warm comfortable home. There just is not room here to...

Judy & Gerry are wonderful hosts who provide their guests with a first class bed & breakfast experience. Their house is welcoming and comfortable, our en-suite bedroom was cosy and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious! I can only say a very big thank you to Judy & Gerry for a wonderful stay.

I can't say enough about Judy and Gerry! They were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. We stayed with them during hurricane Arthur - no power for thousands in Nova Scotia? No problem - we'll just make some sandwiches for dinner (since no restaurants were open) and then we'll play a marathon game of dominoes in the...

We feel so very fortunate to have found this B&B--and Judy and Gerry too--and the cats. We're from the coast of Maine and found this to be so very wonderful. The hosts couldn't have been nicer or more considerate; they made us feel like family. I would go back there in a heartbeat if possible and highly recommend this place...

The owners of this b and b were very helpful and the breakfast was lovely! Around the porch a lot of hummingbirds (30 at some point!!) flew on and off. The only downside was the busy road, but the view made more than up for it.
