Had a very nice three day stay in Bayeux while visiting the D-Day sites. Was offered a room upgrade on check I'm for additional 40 euro. Huge room for Europe. Breakfast was a good value..but dinner was average in the hotel restaurant. Cannot beat the location. Staff speaks English and is friendly. Excellent shopping a block a way and a...

Bayeux is a fascinating little town with a lot of history. The Hotel Reine Mathilde is in a nice area of town near everything. It has nice rooms and a popular restaurant which can be a little noisy in the evening. The hotel was clean, with nice beds and a good shower. It is a bit of a walk from...

We stayed in their new section across the street, a recently renovated building. It has all new features and furniture in an old stone building. Excellent value for the price. Very central in the old town near the Tapestry Museum, the Cathedral and the river walk.

I chose this hotel based on its reviews here on TripAdvisor, and I am glad I had done so. It was a cozy hotel, and the staff was friendly. Check-in and check-out was a smooth process. They served a continental breakfast every morning; however, this costs extra at 10.50 euros but considering the cost of the room, that price is...

This hotel was nice and convenient to the museums and the tour pick up spot in Bayeux. We had a comfortable stay with a beautiful view of the cathedral out our window! The shower was a little small but the pressure was good.

Hotel Reine Mathilde came highly recommended to us and it did not disappoint. Its a perfect location right across from the Cathedral- in fact- the window in our room overlooked the Cathedral. We walked from the train station and it took about 10 min. The hotel is a less than a 5 min walk to the Bayeux Tapestry, and the...

Very cute hotel, located in the middle of the small town of Bayeux and right next to the parking lot where D-Day tours pick up. Rooms were a little small, but very clean and nice. Bathroom included towel warmer, which was ideal for the rainy cold day we stayed. Wi-Fi worked wonderfully and the desk staff was very kind and...

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights and used it as a base for visiting D-Day beaches. We also had a very appetizing dinner in the hotel the first evening. The staff are excellent and the hotel is very clean and well run. The location is excellent. I would stay again.

The room, and attached en suite bath was very clean. There was a minor unpleasant odor in the bathroom. The bath had a great shower with plenty of hot water. The bed linens were changed daily and the room was tidied. There was a TV in the room. There is a full restaurant and bar downstairs and the food was...

We stayed at the Hotel Reine Mathilde for one night in March. Cute, older hotel right across the street from the Cathedral. No elevator and narrow staircases, which can be a problem if you're staying on the third floor. Small room and bathroom, but average by European standard. Everything was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Pillows were...
