Lovely, lovely hotel centrally located in this beautiful, historic town. Wonderful staff and an easy (elegant) breakfast buffet that is perfect before heading out to explore the town, see the tapestry and experience the Normandy beaches. I highly recommend.

All I can say is don’t let the lack air conditioning and elevator scare you away. The charm more than makes up for it. It was built in the 1700’s and is set back off the street with its own entrance and outbuildings. We had a rental car and the private parking, included in room rate was excellent. The gate is closed at 10 pm for cars so plan accordingly. It is in the center of town and the Saturday market was directly across the street. The breakfast was delicious. Most of all I loved the service. The owner Frederick was wonderful and the house dog, Gloria the beagle, was always set to greet us. It is a 10-15 minute easy walk to the cathedral and tapestry and I loved the shopping along our street. There was a laundromat close by as well as restaurants, bakeries and an…

Felt very welcome from the minute we walked in the door…again! My third visit to this beautiful, charming, very clean historic hotel in Bayeux, France. I’ve never been disappointed. Located in the heart of Bayeux, the location is perfect. We stayed in one of the apartments with two separate bedrooms, which provided a lot of room. Price was a great value. Breakfasts were very good and their garden was a fantastic place to eat breakfast, relax or read a book.

Lovely hotel, great staff, beautiful town! The rooms are sizable with comfortable linens. The breakfast was delicious. We came back later in the afternoon with takeout food to eat in the back garden, and the staff helpfully provided us with utensils and napkins. The only drawback was that there were only 2 outlets in the room, neither near the beds. No A/C or elevator.

The hotel is in an excellent location for enjoying Bayeux but also feels like a little oasis. Lovely old mansion set off behind the street. Beautiful gardens where you can take your breakfast or chill out at the end of a sightseeing day. Room was simple but comfortable. Staff were helpful and so pleasant. Highly recommend!

This hotel is really a hidden gem in Bayeux. It is a quaint hotel in the heart of the city with many restaurants, bakeries and shops within walking distance. It is set off from the street so it offers a quiet setting. My room was in the main building overlooking the main street and it was very quiet, even though I slept with the windows open every night. I loved the peaceful and beautiful garden in the back with over 60 varieties of roses. Frederic, the hotel proprietor, and his staff were a wonderful welcoming team that offered impeccable service. And Gloria, the hotel dog, was an added attraction and bonus feature! I loved my two nights at the hotel and would highly recommend it!

We stayed at this place based on Rick Steve’s recommendation and we couldn’t be happier. Absolutely amazing hotel and staff. The lady who greeted us ICE was beyond wonderful, friendly, very professional and attentive. We stayed at many hotels big and small around the world and I was very impressed by her training and professionalism. She made us feel very welcomed, recommended great restaurants and made reservations.Location is wonderful, breakfast in the garden was very peaceful- yoghurts, meats, cheeses, breads, teas, chocolate croissants, eggs, sausage, bacon, lemon cake etc.We loved comfortable beds, fresh and crispy linens and towels. The owner was very nice and welcoming as well. They offer laundry services for $25 per bag and we were very happy with this service,. Self…

This was a very special stay. The hotel is located in the center of Bayeux. We stay here while visiting the D Day Beaches and Mount Saint Michel. This hotel is a historic landmark . It was built in the 1800 . We stay in the main building which its the best place to stay. They have other rooms in separate buildings. When you make your reservation request to stay in the main building. Rooms do not have A/C but depending the month you visit it might not be needed. When we visited the temperature was pleasant and we opened the windows at night and slept very comfortable. In the mornings you wake up with the birds singing to you. Frederick the Owner and the rest of the staff make sure that you enjoy your stay. They go 105% to make your stay pleasant. Beautiful Rose garden. We will…
