Just stayed for one night on a recent visit to Castres - this is a really interesting and quirky hotel with some really eclectic design features (think random "objets" found in antiques sales, mixed together with some very modern touches...). The rooms themselves are nicely designed, with huge comfortable beds, reliable free wi-fi, and good sized bathrooms (mine - 105...

We stayed here for our anniversary and had a great time. Rooms were individual and the building has loads of character. The only tiny improvement they could make would be to not knock on the door on Saturday morning to ask about towels. We enjoyed the wine the night before and were looking forward to enjoying our lazy morning. All...

We walked all over Castres looking for a hotel until we were lucky enough to come upon the Hotel de l'Europe. Just so you know, there are only four in the inner part of the city. The owner/manager gave us a great deal because we arrived later in the evening and the hotel wasn't full (the previous night had been...

Chose the hotel because of the good reviews and we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in we loved it - the building is beautiful and quirky. The proprietor was perfectly lovely, made some good jokes, and gave us keys to several available rooms so we could choose the one we liked most. We had the cheapest room...

We stayed here for one night on a bicycle tour. The hotel is beautiful. We had a nice big room with a lovely view out the windows. The bathroom had a huge jacuzzi tub. Everything was very clean and also very attractive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice helpful staff, the hotel has a great history and his different rooms are very artsy. A little bit dusty, a deeper clean wouldn't hurt, especially because the hotel itself is very old and beautiful. -----------------------------

The moment I entered the lobby to go upstairs to our room, I just went 'WOW!'. The evening sun shining through the glass roof of this baroque-style building made the rich yellow paint of the old walls positively hum. I was further delighted, going up the stairs, by the little pseudo crypt which is on a landing half-way up at...

The location speaks for itself (though nowhere is far in Castres). Our room was nice, if a little small. The windows open out over the atrium, so can be noisy as you can hear everything that goes on in the lobby. My only complaint was one member of staff who smoked throughout her shift at the front desk, sending smoke...

Lovely hotel with friendly staff and great location. Stayed one night when going to watch the rugby in Castres. Was greeted by the staff who said that our room was not ready (we were very early) but were happy to store our bags for us. Our room was small but cosy, lovely and warm and overlooking the central atrium of...

We booked through recommendation for a rugby weekend. This hotel is very central in this small town and although we drove it is quite close to both rail and bus stations. Quite a quirky hotel in very old buildings. Our room had a raised sunken bath (up a couple of steps then down) all in the same room as the...
