Very strange! What happened to this hotel? I see that the reviews stopped a year before, in 2015. Since then, nothing. We came to this hotel on the recommendation of the French Michelin 2016. So we had no problem up to the time we entered the hotel. Very very weak lightning in the hotel entrance, at the reception and in... More

Perfect location right next to the main square. Rooms modern and very comfortable. Great staff who are very welcoming. Their English is great. The location is right on the main river so this is the most scenic hotel you can book. Business lunches were first class. BUT they need a bar so you can enjoy the amazing riverside balcony.

We wanted to stay in castres and found this hotel on booking.com the only room left was a suite so we booked it. We were not disappointed. Crisp linens on the bed, modern bathroom with a separate toilet and a sitting area. The only thing we would say is that the air conditioning wasn't the best and it was so... More

I have stayed several times in this hotel for now. It is quite, comfortable and with good newly furnished clean rooms. It is exactly at the center with access to many restaurants. It's better to get a room with river view. I would recommend to carry all toiletries with you. You can go for a nice evening walk and visit... More

After reading the previous reviews, I wonder if I was staying in the same hotel! We stayed there 22nd June. It was a Monday and Castres looked as though the whole town had been taken by aliens! And the hotel wasn't much better! The decor for the majority of the hotel is charcoal grey and black. It is ultra modern... More

Apart from the very cold weather The Grand Hotel was an excellent choice right in town centre so even with the terrible weather we could venture out to the square and local bars without getting freezing cold. And the best bit was coming back to the roaring fire in the bar and warming up with a large cognac!! Great hotel... More

A must have is a room overlooking the river, guaranteeing a peaceful nights sleep.lovely to enjoy breakfast on the riverside terrace albeit as usual for France a little overpriced for what you get(would be nice to have a little fresh cheese as a choice) One of the most comfortable beds on our trip and nice to have free car park space... Staff xtremely friendly and helpful on arrival, personally shown to private parking bays. Right by the river on one side and a very short walk into the main square where there are bars, restaurants etc and a market on Sat morning. Room was very quiet and comfortable, shower worked fine. To be recommended.

Classy interior design mixed with personal service = excellence. I stayed four nights for business, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Breakfast is à l'ancienne; with viennoiseries au choix, jam, bitter, fruit, locally produced yoghurt and the unforgettable Apple juice.

The hotel has been recently refurbished and it is done to a very high standard. The beds were comfortable and the hotel's location is superb for exploring the charming town. The lack of a proper shower was a bit annoying. Luckily my travel companions next door had a shower and we used that one morning It is far from ideal... More
