We have experienced the opposite of the previous reviewers in that we booked directly with the owner via the Hotel's own website. The dates were confirmed and credit card details taken. 2 months later we were informed the hotel was overbooked and that we could not be accomodated. An alternative was suggested but it was a hotel we had previously...

absolutely beautiful hotel but despite booking through expedia our booking was not honoured. We checked in, unpacked and went out for dinner. Whilst we were out to dinner our bags were packed for us, left in the hall and that was the end of our stay. Our room had been given to people who had booked with the owner direct!...

Recommended by friends, everything about this intimate Hotel was a delight. The host and hostess had just the right blend of friendliness and warmth, and included us with a couple of their friends on New Years Eve, along with a pianist and champagne before they went to a fancy-dress party and we to a great restaurant They have the ability...

I just wish to add to and reinforce the comments of previous reviewers. This is the first time we have ever booked a hotel purely on the evidence of TA reviewers. We were not disappointed. We booked the cheapest room and in an unaccountably slow week we were immediately upgraded to the best room in the house. Everything everyone else...

During our honeymoon we stayed in Les Jardins Secrets for three nights. This was certainly the best of all the places we tried in France, ie Les Champs des Oiseaux, Bernard l'Oiseau, Georges Blanc and Hotel Particulier. The room was just perfect, a large window looking out onto the garden whilst the olive trees below kept the room totally private....

This hotel is a haven in a bustling city, within walking distance of the Arena and the Maison Caree and other sights. Unlike some boutiques, the rooms have plenty of space, including hanging space. But beware. Christophe and Annabel do not provide bathroom scales. When you get back to your room after dinner you may well find a tray with...

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful hotel for 3 nights, having booked a flight to Nimes with Ryanair from Luton for 99p! over the Bank Holiday weekend. It was our first of many trips to Nimes and we thank the editor of the review of 19th April for bringing this amazing hotel to our attention, as everything mentioned...

I have just spent two glorious nights at the Jardins Secrets. I have visited Nîmes on a number of occasions and this has to be the best hotel in the city. Entrance is through a discreet gate, which you are given a code for, into a well-tended beautiful garden. There is a small pool, which is surrounded by candle lit...

“Avoid the ground floor unless you like everybody else to watch you getting dressed. Make sure you get one of the the largest rooms.”

“All Rooms are exceptional; but try Room Lolita looking over the Spa Terrace and the Garden & Pool Area”

“The deluxe suites at ground level have a bit of outdoor space where you can enjoy wine and snacks. The hotel has a policy of no outside food or beverages in main areas. I found the selection on offer some what limited. Breakfast was beautifully served but consisted of rolls, breads & jams with a bit if yoghurt and fruit. At €25 this is a bit steep when for €6 in town you can get the same. Worth it to have a peaceful morning at least once just for the beauty.”

“We treated ourselves to the Lolita room, which is really a bedroom and a sitting room. With all our belongings, plus our Emma (chocolate labrador) it was perfect.”
