Need I say more! You are right in the centre of everything. Difficult for hotels today with confinement etc but managed well. Rooms are standard Novotel, clean and comfortable. Only issue for me was that the room was too warm and aircon too noisy. Breakfast a little limited but normal in these times. Overall no issues

We chose the hotel for location and that it had its own carp park The location is great right in the centre and close to the tgv station However the welcome as very very poor the reception staff very unhelpful The rooms are not being service at the moment Ie no fresh towels or the bed bing made daily ( due to COVID-19) However no one is told this on check in and there is absolutely no way to get fresh towels The air con is the rooms can not coupe without the summer heat so the room is exceptionally hot at night Luckily we only stayed for a couple of nights. However this could be a nice hotel they just need to get some friendly helpful staff

Dear guest, thank you for sharing your review, even if I am really surprised by this comment, it's always important for us to know the guest's feelings. I do appologize if you did not feel warmed welcome, our front desk team try their best to offer a great stay, by giving some advices about the town like restaurants, good touristik point etc . We usually get nice comment about the team, I am sorry. Regarding the new process of cleaning due to covid, in deed any staff is allowed to enter in occupied rooms, we only make the room at the end of the stay. We can organize a changement of rooms during stay, to get a fresh new room. But if you stay in same room, we always provide new towels, welcome product on request of course. As we should have informed you at check-in (we sent an email 3 days before check in with all information and we also inform guest at check-in), the guest can ask the chambermaid in corridor or the front desk team any time day or night. For the airconditionning, it's still summer and warm period in Nimes, so we have the airconditionning in all rooms. You can decide to use or not as you prefer. Our staff, as you can read in many comment, usually gets many congratulations for the behaviour. I am sorry if you did not find the welcome you whished. Kindest regards, Fanny ABOULY Room division manager

Not the most friendly of welcomes, quite frosty. We were booked for 6 nights. Told there was no room service. All over the world, this is taken to mean food and drink served in room. We were ok with this, given the situation we are all in. 2 days in, towels were “well used”. Asked for a change. Told there was no cleaning or linen change whatsoever. Told this was policy now in all hotels, not true!! Had to ask for everything at reception. We are laid back and happy to help ourselves, but they could have told us sooner. Our floor was not vacuumed once in 6 days. Hardly hygienic!! We were told to leave our rubbish and dirty linen in the hallway!!! With a virus raging, you have to be kidding! They could at least have left some bleach/disinfectant spray and disposable cloths in the room so we could clean the shower, sink and toilet. We used our own antibacterial wipes to clean the toilet as best we could. The last day was a joke, but not for us. Early on, we asked for a late checkout for 2pm. Not usually a problem at most hotels. The “lady” on the desk was very unfriendly and patronising. (I think she was management). She just said “no, the hotel is full”. Not true! She then said if we paid €30 we could have it for the 2 hours. So, full one minute, rooms vacant next, for a price. Why lie? We were due to catch a train at 3pm. The weather was 38 degrees, more like 40 or more even in shade as there was no wind. We are in our late 60s, but definitely NOT doddery oldies, but extreme weather like that is not good for our age group. The money was nothing, it was the principle. After a 6 night stay, with nothing on offer, she could have shown a little humanity, but no! We all feel vulnerable in the bad situation we are in. A little friendliness and warmth goes a long way, but nothing like that was on offer here. This hotel needs to realise that in a time of Pandemic they need their guests. We are very seasoned travellers. We use the Paris/Barcelona train route many times a year. We always stop in Nimes for a break as it is a lovely city. This was our first time at this hotel, and our last. There are plenty more in Nimes. One last thing. While we were there, a largish group of 20 to 35 year olds arrived. That evening and next day a number of them were wondering around the public areas without masks, despite it being obligatory. Nothing was done. This age group are recognised as being one of the main spreaders of the virus as they generally disregard the rules. We all need to feel safe, including the staff. They need to apply the rules more strictly. To be fair, despite being a bit cold and the lady on the desk being very unfriendly and officious, the rest of the staff were fine. the location is great and the rooms not bad.

Great location over looking the park and then the amphitheatre behind that! Receptionists very friendly and served us at the bar too even when it was quiet in there. Comfortable bed and as you'd expect from a Novotel. Parking around the back under hotel was easy to find and let you in via the buzzer. Nice stay!

I was not supposed to stay in Nimes, but there was bumper to bumper traffic on the Highway and I didn't want to drive in the dark, so I got off and tried to find a 4 star hotel on my car's navigation system. Novotels are usually OK hotels, nothing special, but for one night tolerable, and some of them can actually be nice. But this one was really the pits. The room was not clean, the hot water did not work and I had to take a shower with tepid water while it was cold outside, the showerhead spew out water from everywhere and wet my whole bathroom floor... the hotel is very tired looking, the rooms are really not at all pleasing... (I must admit the bed was comfortable)... and they charge 125 Euros for this (they took off 25 Euros for the inconvenience of taking a cold shower!!! - they should have let me have the room for free!).

Dear guest, First of all I would like to thank you for sharing your review with us, and I do apologize for your stay. Indeed we had a global technical incident with the general boiler, our maintenance staff came in the night to fix it, but could not sucess, and we had to wait for a professionnal in the morning. We did our best to solve the problem, and the hot water was available before midday. Regarding the cleaning of the room, I can ensure this is not our usual quality, and I am sure you could have changed the room if wanted. Please feel free to contact me personally to discuss of a commercial offer. Again I am really sorry to read your disappointment.
