I stayed here with a big group. First off, the hotel is located very near to the old town and the main attractions like the Maison Carree and the Arene. Hotel is old style and the rooms evoke another era. Once you get used to it, it is actually quite fitting for the occasion. The ancient lift is rather slow...

Avoid this hotel like the plague. It is the dirtiest, scruffiest most run down hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. In addition many chairs in the restaurant were broken and the food was second rate.

What can I say? The rooms were spotless and the food was excellent although portions at dinner were small. It was difficult for our group to get the wine and water we had paid for. The doors have quaint old locks. I didn't have the strength in my hands to turn the key and the female staff on reception were...

Hotel Imperator exudes quiet elegance upon arrival - the small reception flows on to a beautiful foyer area with very comfortable lounges and an eye-catching Art Deco elevator. Our adjoining rooms (family of four) were large and well appointed. The beds and pillows were excellent. However, the carpet in both rooms looked tired and stained in some areas. One of...

Loved every minute I was in this hotel. As far as I could see every room was differently furnished, sheer grandeur,!!!Dinner was wonderful ,although no choice in menu (we were a coach party )the service was out of this world. A big thank you to all staff.Great night sleep.

It's a nice place, with a renovated old world lift to get you to the upper floors. The rooms are nice, with large beds, but the TV Is old requiring a digital set top box, that is unreliable at best. The walls are a bit thin where you can hear the people in the next interconnected room, but that's old...

They are very courteous and obliging The room was excellent, well appointed and everything a room should be in an hotel of this calibre. It's location is excellent, being within walking distance to the main attractions. The hotel...

full marks for this old hotel, beautiful location, comfy rooms, air/con throughout, old fashioned gentility, very restful- if that is what you want - jazz concert held in hotel grounds and well attended one evening. The question often asked is - would I stay there again? Oh Yes.

You would be hard pressed to find a better located hotel than this in Nîmes. 200m from the Carre d'Art, a two minutes stroll to the Jardin de la Fontaine, five minutes to the Maison Carée and a further five minutes to the amphitheater passing by ample shops, cafes and restaurants. The hotel itself has the slight air of faded...

This was a last minute stay due to a horrible experience at another hotel in nimes ! What a breathe of fresh air to walk in there to friendly staff and a great price value for a beautiful old historic hotel in a ideal location ! The only bad thing was the difficult doors ! Old fashion key and lock...
