Our visit with Marie at Le Domaine d’Auriac was phenomenal.  We will be going back again and again.  Our arrival was met with a warm welcome and the perfect just-in-time dinner reservation after our flight into Carcassonne.  A golf cart took our bags in and we were immediately upgraded as rooms were available.  Even though it was just before Christmas...

This was a very special hotel with lovely friendly helpful staff. Wonderful food and wine. The dining room provided a sense of occasion for a celebration. Golf course on site. Bedroom was spacious and comfortable

Excellent staff with very good service provided the best meal we have had for many years. Every course was delicious, and served with an accompanying wine - the final dessert was fantastic . Definitely a restaurant we will be returning to for the fantastic food, as well as the setting.

The Domaine d'Auriac was slightly difficult to locate, even with the benefit of a satellite navigation system. However, once found the hotel is set in very tranquil grounds and the staff could not be more helpful. My room was very spacious and well appointed. The restaurant is trying a little too hard and it is far too pretentious.

Wonderful French hotel that take you back to an older France. Room was very nice and the staff was wonderful. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. The king bed was a little hard buy acceptable. Great free wifi. The restaurant was too French for me and expensive but the service was spectacular. Cool experience...

We loved this place although the property, especially the rooms, need to be updated as they are showing signs of being run down in spite of the obvious charm. But the cuisine at the restaurant is among the best one can find. A strong reason to return.

Highly recommended, beautiful chateau. Most welcoming and friendly hosts and staff. Lovely large comfortable room. Great restaurant and dining experience albeit expensive. Only issue for us was hired car satnav took us to another location in Carcassonne.

unexciting, uninspiring, average to poor and overpriced food. Service poor, a welcome hello cannot make up for tardy service. We booked 5 days before and specifically mentioned 1 guest was vegetarian, we were all surprised when the waiter offered scrambled eggs. A string of suggestions eventually led to a plate of fresh tomatoes...34 euros...it had a slice of truffle, which...

This is not the at the level you would expect from a Relais Chateaux. Very shabby building in need of revocation. The sitting rooms and lounge rooms are old furnishing and dusty shelves. A large pool but a stark outdated pool area. Guest rooms are okay with old homemade built ins. Noisy morning cleaning staff. Because of the look of...

We are big fans of Relais and Chateaux. We have come to expect excellent service and idyllic environments. Unfortunately, Domaine d'Auriac did not measure up. The entire property is filled with chintz decor and furnishings that have seen better days. The property is separated from the amenities of Carcassonne, requiring a car trip to experience anything. This remote location would...
