This is a delightful little hotel at the foot of the back wall of the old city. The owner is a delightful man who is extremely helpful and very good at recommending restaurants. The hotel is clean, quaint and comfortable. We had a total of three nights punctuated by a great breakfast in the morning. The clientele was predominantly elderly...

+Great location beneath the Cite, + Amazing view from the tiny roof terrace + Very friendly and helpful staff + Nice courtyard garden. + Bed was fine. + Cheap enough. - Tiny room, only just space to walk round the bed and that was it. By the look of various photos I think I got the smallest room and others...

We've just returned from a 4-night stay at Hotel du Pont Vieux. Catherine & Jean Michel were very welcoming hosts, who kindly helped in whatever way they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms, which had a beautiful view over the courtyard garden - a lovely little place to...

We stayed here for 3 nights, then we had to add 2 more nights because of French air traffic control strike. The location is super, 5 minutes from medieval city, 10 minutes to centre of new town and station and 3 minutes from airport shuttle stop. The hotel is an old character building, our room was a good size with...

We have been at this hotel for a lovely weekend to visit Carcassonne. The hotel has recently been refurbished, the hosts are very friendly and the buffet breakfast very much recommended. As a plus, the hotel has a charming balcony from which the Carcassonne old town can be viewed, very charming! Recommended!

Just come back from a three night stay at this lovely hotel. Fantastic location between the new town and the cite. Catherine, the owner, was extremely helpful and pleasant. We had room number 14 which afforded a lovely view of the castle walls. The room was spacious and very clean as was the bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh I...

Small hotel 5 minutes walk from the old city and 10 minutes from the new town centre - very convenient for sight seeing. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. It is run by a lovely French couple who are very helpful in recommending things to do and restaurants. Rooms are a nice size, beds are great. Breakfast are very good...

Family-run hotel nestled beneath the walled city. Everything is within walking distance. Ample choices for breakfast. Nice selection of wines available to take to the room. Walls are thin so keeping young children quiet is a challenge. Carcassonne has a wonderful free art museum on the city square. A long walk through the walled city is a must.

Nice location. Room was a bit tired/ dirty shower didn't work and whilst it had a bath the water was cold in the morning. But it was cheap and the staff friendly. Breakfast is available for another €8 but we didn't try it so cannot rate.

This was a perfect place for our one night stay in Carcassonne. There is a car park available but we lucked out and found a spot on the street just across from the hotel. The proprietor's, Catherine and her husband were so sweet and congenial, reflecting the heart and soul of this B and B. One of the best things...
