I originally booked three nights, and ended up staying eight nights. Peter and Tracy were super friendly and welcoming, and the hostel was very clean. There are many quaint little villages to walk/bike to and my stay was amazingly relaxing. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a break from the city. Thanks Peter and Tracy!

What a delight, this place. Tucked away in the tiny village of Preixan, close to the beautiful Aude river, I came intending to stay two days and stayed four - and could have moved in. The garden is beautiful, the facilities clean and high quality (the view from the kitchen is quite unforgettable!). The night sky is off the scale....

We stayed at sidsmums hostel on our trip to Carcassonne and it was absolutely fantastic! We stayed in one of the cozy log cabins in the yard. Everything was clean and super comfortable. There is free coffee and tea a box with emergency food supplies. Also there is a slickline, darts and board games. Tracy and Peter, the owners of...

I travel a lot. Away on business to very smart places, on my own to shoestring locations - you name it, I like to do it. Very few places exceed my expectation enough to propel me into writing a review. This hostel - if it's even fair to categorise as that? - justifies an honest and prompt review. The cleanliness,...

Excellent standard of accommodation at a very reasonable price. Tracy and Peter are very welcoming and friendly. They helped us to plan our activities and also gave us a lift to and from the station. There is also a bus out of the village which gives links to anywhere you would care to visit . We had privacy but were...

I stayed here for a weekend in June part way through interrailing and this was the perfect place to take a break from city life and relax,as well as see some beautiful parts of France. The owners Tracy and Peter were awesome kind and helpful- and even cooked me dinner one night! Carcasonne is a short bus ride away, and...

We went for a week to visit Carcassonne and the surrounding area. If you are looking for a nice peaceful place, this is a perfect hostel. I would definetly come back for another week, eventhough I've seen enough of Carcassonne itself and the hills around it. That is because of the owners, Peter and Tracy. They are both so caring...

THE SKINNY: if you are visiting Carcassonne as a backpacker and are looking for a great place to stay, look no further! Stay at Sidmums. The hostel is great, but the owners are the best! THE THICK: I visited Carcasonne and stayed at Sidmums mid-November of 2015. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay; so much so that I contemplated staying another...

Sidsmums was a perfect place to base out of an explore the Languedoc area. We stayed two nights in September and were sorry to leave so soon. Tracy and Peter are the most helpful hosts - and so easygoing. We corresponded over email and there was no concern over deposits or arrival times, Our cabin was clean and cozy, the...
