This was our first hotel on our 2018 Euro tour and the staff and property made all the rest look really bad. The Waldorf proved its reputation as the “best of the best” and started with excellent customer service. When the staff realized we were...More
I used Hilton points to reserve what I thought was 2 rooms for 4 people but only Pavillon building was available when I booked. I am a gold member which in Hilton circles isn't all that special. But when we checked in, the hotel not...More

Located in walking distance of the Palace and Gardens, this hotel is so beautiful! It has friendly, efficient, and attentive staff. Our room was too hot with a tricky thermostat, so they found us another well-appointed room right away. The food is 5 star, and...More
Luxury by any standard. Footmen, concierge, it's the real deal! Chose a room in the palace though rather than the lodge. The hotel employees anticipated every need and desire. Fireplaces in rooms, gourmet meals.
Amazing spacious rooms, comfortable beds and luxurious bathrooms. Breakfast buffett was the best I have ever seen. I disagree with previous comments about the customer service, they were awesome with me and very helpful adjusting the gps in my car and helpful tips. The location...More

The main building is more opulent. Fancy. Old World Charm. I would surmise more expensive to stay in. The Pavillion is across the "grounds"/more so like "The Guest House" and from what I experienced it is likely used for conventions/large wedding parties. The Pavillion, for us, was quiet likely because it wasn't even at half capacity when we stayed. We never saw anyone else in the halls or elevators. We say 3 employees at the front desk area, that was it. So in a sense, more private. It was a 2 minutes troll across the lawn to the Main Building where all the action was, in a sense. Our room in the Pavillion was spacious. It had a beautiful view of the lawn. The bathroom was large. Really not one complaint. And in a practical sense, you save money. (which for the Waldorf Astoria makes lil sense but we are budget travelers.)
