We stayed here in spring/summer 2010 and it was really easy to get to - even after traveling over 20 hours, landing at CDG. With the train & Subway it was easy to reach, two subway stations very close by. Room was small (which was to be expected in an old town building) and very clean. As I had asked...

A great choice for a no-frills but quaint, clean and lovely little spot on a quiet street in the tenth. Rooms are as expected size-wise - not very large - but they are nicely appointed with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and linens, and televisions. The proprietor is a kind and welcoming fellow and obviously puts a lot of care and...

Perfect hotel and amazing value. Stayed just one night but I can't find a thing to complain about. Would highly recommend.

This hotel is really awesome in a lot of ways, and not so great in other ways, especially if you're a certain kind of traveler. I think Europeans would love this hotel, US travelers might have issues, especially ones used to big chain hotels. Things that are great: 1. The hotel is small (maybe 20 rooms I imagine), very Parisian,...

I loved everything about this place. comfy bed, hip style, petit dejuner - (the proprietors make the confitures homemade!) totally reasonable price, perfect walking area, great shopping, metro stop a few feet away, grocery store 2 doors down, pub across the way, patisserie on the corner, salvation army across the street - could go on and on! Oh, and they...

I loved this hotel as soon as I saw it. It's on a quiet street a couple of minutes from the metro and with a very pretty green leafy exterior. Rooms are small (as all are in Paris) but clean; service very friendly and helpful; and we were particularly pleased with the free bikes they offered - we ended up...

Hotel du Nord was a positive surprise. Cleen and good rooms in a quiet street close to the metro. I will stay there on my next visit to Paris.

Great find in Paris. We stayed here as we wanted somewhere convenient to Gare du Nord for an overnight stay, but would definitely stay here again if staying longer in Paris. Very convenient, only 3 metro stops from Opera (which is itself v close to the big department stores). Hotel had a rustic feel, rooms small but comfy. No air...

Hotel du Nord is a clean hotel with fairly cozy rooms and friendly, accommodating staff. In fact, they will lend you a bike (with a Hotel du Nord poster on it that screams "TOURISTE", but hey... it's Paris, there are thousands of touristes) and the building is old and cool. The Hotel itself is on a side street just off...

We travel regularly to Paris for pleasure, and always use this hotel as it is excellent value and very reliable. It has real character with antique's, books and photographs in the communal areas. The rooms can be small and basic (like most Paris hotels!), but always very clean and comfortable. The area around the Canal St Martin is also very...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our hotel is a small one with 23 rooms that are warm, cozy and attractively decorated. When our guests arrive, we give them a key to the entrance door to the hotel as well as a room key. Right away everyone feels at home or rather, in a guesthouse. Our rooms are all different, each one has its own style: Oriental, pop, empire, Pompei, and so on.... We take particular care with the breakfast, served in the basement with its old-fashioned stone ceiling. Our breakfast consists in croissants, the traditional baguette and whole-grain bread, made not by an industrial bakery but by our local baker. The jams are homemade, prepared by us using quality fruits. All the products we use are chosen and furnished by local shops. Our guesthouse is located in a central district animated by its residents. It is a popular district for Parisians that is famous for its picnics along the Canal Saint-Martin, its bars, its restaurants and small local shops. All around you will find many Parisian brands, boutiques, bookstores, and food stores. We have selected them and tested them before recommending them. For getting around in Paris we have bicycles that are freely available during your stay. This is also part of our approach. Whatever the reason for your visit to Paris, we hope you will appreciate the atmosphere of our guesthouse. ... more   less
