Paris-Oasis is a bit hard to find and a bit hard to get to (i.e., lots of locked doors - so very safe) but well worth it. It's down the street from Sacre Coeur which means Montmartre - lots of restaurants (and tourists and souvenir shops) but on a quiet street. Very close to transportation and easy to get around...

Our family of 3 children and 2 adults stayed here in early September. We made our own way from the airport and Helene s written instructions were very clear and we made it there with no problems. The metro station " Barbes" is probably not the best in Paris but if you keep a watchful eye there should be no...

Greeted by the owners, couldn't do enough for us. Gave us details of the Metro, sightseeing points of interest, where the local supermarket was. The apartment was clean and well provided for and so quiet. You never know what are behind the big doors, this surpassed our expectations and would go back again if only to say hello to the...

The apartment is lovely and the owners of the home are very nice. More of a B&B than a hotel, you definitely feel as if you're staying in someone's home. The pool is basically in their living room. We didn't use it for this reason. There is no air conditioning and it was hot at night but this is apparently...

Paris-Oasis is an incredibly beautiful lodging within a beautiful city. The decor of each room is charming, and the courtyard is a true garden surrounding a lovely sitting area abundant with beautiful flowers. Our grandchildren enjoyed the indoor pool, and our hosts were so gracious and welcoming. The location at the base of Montmartre is very convenient for metro or...

Truly, the Iris room is paradise in Paris. The private garden, the cloud-like bed, room darkening shades that make noon midnight and the stunning quiet combined for the best nights' sleep we have ever had in Paris or any other city. The proprietors could not have been more lovely, so welcoming, helpful, and kind. They have provided this art-filled doll's...

This is a superb place to stay - much nicer and better priced than hotels or people trying to make a quick buck from airbnb with hidden charges etc. Helene was away but her lovely friend Dewey was really welcoming. The room (Lucie Loft) was a great space, really quiet and well equipped. Dewey was so nice to our boys...

Located in an unassuming building in Montmartre, this small hotel is one happy surprise after another. Our room, (name: Iris) located in a lush garden, with a private outdoor table with chairs, was equipped with everything we needed and more. Though Euro small, this room was comfortable in every way, quiet, nice bath (shower only), cozy, with lovely furnishings and...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
