Detailed Reviews
Having stayed in Arrondisement 9 and 10 on a previous trip to Paris we opted to try a new location and settled on Montparnasse and ultimately the Hotel Leopold. It turned out to be a great choice. The location is great to get all over Paris as there are Metro stops very close by, and you can get easily to and from the airport on the RER B.
The hotel itself is relatively small, and the room we had was equally small but we didn't expect a massive room in Paris. The room has been nicely reno'd and looks quite modern. There are still some annoyances with the small bathroom that doesn't have much counter space or the squeaky bathroom door, but the amazingly comfortable bed and lovely decorating more than makes up for it.
We had a bit of an unfortunate situation while there where the emergency alarm started going off in the middle of the night, but still not enough to make this hotel anything other than a 5 rating.
While it is a bit of a walk (30 min) into the main areas of Le Marais or Chatelet you can also easily walk over to the Eiffel tower or take the metro quickly into the centre or over to Montmartre. We found it easy to get to anywhere in the city from our location.
Although the room we had overlooked a relatively main street, car noise at night was not a problem due to the soundproofing and there were no outdoor bars or restaurants nearby which was also nice.

We have just come back from our 3 night stay here.
The hotel is gorgeous and although the room was very small it had everything we needed and we felt very comfortable.
Only a few faults - the breakfast is DELICIOUS and such a nice way to start the day but there is no where near enough space for the amount of guests and we found it on some days very chaotic to find a table. You were meant to be seated at a table but there didn’t seem to be a first come first serve basis for this it was just that the guests that would walk in to the front of the line would be given the next available table. This isn’t really a fault of the staff but it would perhaps be better if you were asked to reserve a breakfast slot.
We were also meant to get a free chocolate bar and glass or champagne with the room - we asked for the champagne and were told they only had wine and we didn’t bother asking for the chocolate.
The cleaning staff and ladies at breakfast were all lovely and although they didn’t speak any English they made every effort to make sure you had everything needed

We chose one of the smaller rooms but it was a decent size, very nicely furnished with a lovely little shower room and nice luxurious shampoo and shower gel amenities. We also had an extremely comfortable bed. The room was quiet and peaceful. The whole hotel has been very well decorated and is stylish but feels homely and welcoming. Great location near to several metro stations and an RER station. Perfect breakfast with the best baguette and croissants we've tasted! All the staff are very friendly and helpful too which makes the place somewhere we highly recommend and definitely plan to return to.

Perfect hotel that couldn't have been more accommodating. Marie and the team were so professional and lovely, beautiful room and perfect service. Printed out everything I asked for, brought me up coffee capsules, always hot water, fresh towels, cleaned room everyday, called me as my alarm etc.. Will be coming back! :)

I stayed at the Hotel Leopold for 3 nights during my stay in Paris in early September 2022.
When I arrived (following my red-eye flight from Canada), I was surprised to see that my room was available in the morning. I had booked a Superior room and asked for a shower and overlooking the back. These were both fulfilled however when I entered the room, a couple minor issues we found in the room (which could have been addressed during my stay), however the very friendly receptionist offered to move me to another room instead. I was offered a bigger room as no other rooms seemed to be available.
The room was spacious and very clean (important these days). The hotel itself is very quiet and I didn't hear any noise from adjacent rooms or from outside. The weather was quite warm for the season (31c) and the AC worked like a charm and was super quiet.
Bathroom was spacious however the shower itself was a bit on the small size, but not a big issue. The soaps of good quality with a great scent.
I took the breakfast option when I reserved (highly recommended) and it was just as great as everyone says. I'm from France originally and I know good bread and vienoiseries. They get theirs from the bakery next door which has won awards for having the best baguette a few years ago. The breakfast is à la carte (rather than buffet) but you can choose whatever you want such as baguette or slice bread, croissants, pains au chocolat, fresh fruit, yogourt, fresh juices, cheese, etc.. You select what you want at check-in and are of course free to change or add more if want to more of something. The lady serving the breakfast was super nice as well.
Location is amazing. If coming from CDG, you can take the RER line B direct to Port Royal station and then about a 5-10 min walk to the hotel through the side street. Way cheaper than a CAB (10.30 Euros) and faster as well! It is also conveniently located next to several subway station including Vavin right next door. There are also many buses going to or through Montparnasse. The neighborhood is one of the best in Paris since it's not too touristy yet still very lively with many known restaurants shops and theatres. Highly recommend "La Coupole" if you want to experience the real brasserie.
Anyhow, I had a superb stay and hope to stay here again on my next stay!

This hotel is lovely even before you arrive. They send a pre check in email which is considerate, charming and helpful. We got early checkin which was a lovely addition and is hard to find in Paris. When we arrived the staff greeted us with a small, a complimentary bottle of wine (because we booked through Secret Escapes) and gave us all the information we needed, plus our menu so that we could order breakfast in bed (!). The room was tastefully painted and designed, the mini bar had some snacks and juice in which you could help yourself too, there were dressing gowns and slippers, and the bed with its white, crisp sheets was very comfy. We didn't miss anything. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but perfectly functional and well stocked. A handwritten note and some toffees were in the room, which was a nice touch. The windows were thick but of course you could hear some traffic, but it wasn't disturbing. They gave good recommendations and it seemed nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend and would stay again!

Hotel Leopold has a great location at Montparnasse and there is a Metro station just a few meters away. Friendly staff, nice decoration and very clean rooms. Our room was very small but for a couple with very few luggage (a small backpack + big travel purse) to spend a long weekend was OK.

It is near Raspail station. Google Maps informs you that Exit 1 is the only exit, but you don't have to cross the street if you come out at Number 2.
When checking in, I was informed that I can pay the city tax when I check out, and the elevator has a strange half floor. 2 1/2 story and so on...You have to get off and go down or up the middle floor.
A lot of people say that the room is small, but it's actually small. But it was okay for me even if it was small because I used one room alone. The suitcase was 26 inches long, but I had to lift it once and move it to the window, but I was very sad that there was no space that could not be pushed aside.
Heater operated normally and it was not difficult to operate, and DND was well observed and good But when you turn on the heater, it gets very dry in the morning. It would be nice to have a humidifier.
There was a hair dryer in the bathroom and it was most inconvenient without a hairbrush. Amenity was a good brand, but I was surprised because it smells like a cigar! The heater worked well, but when turned on, the inside of the room would be too dry, so it would be good to have a humidifier.
Personally, I think I will use this hotel for my next trip to Paris because it is close to the subway station, and is in the 14th district, which is very safe. I'll reserve a bigger room next time.

Small but comfortable rooms in the south of Paris. Soundproofing between the rooms and the corridor isn't great and they tend to have music playing in the corridor even at night so I had to call reception to get them to turn it off.
The elevator is tiny and opens up in the staircase so keep that in mind if you've got big luggage, it might not be easy. Internet was fast, stable and free, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious.

Was recommended by my childhood very cool business artistry native Parisian friend. The rooms are classically Parisian small, but this was very well equipped and individually decorated. Staff were young, super friendly and helpful. Breakfast and its lovely server were a delight. Great free WiFi. Don’t underestimate the charm of the location, less touristy but a true delight if you know what to find. Also with walking distance to Gare Montparnasse, you’ll have easy access to the SoutWest, including Tours (for the Loire Valley) and Bordeaux (for It’s wine country and seaside) Overall, very good value for money.

Hi Benhyppo, not sure what is the question about?
The front desk is open 24/7. So yoy can arrive anytime.
Bonjour
Thank you for your question , but we have 6 train stations , we are located at 10 minutes by walk from Gare Montparnasse , and we are direct by métro ( line 4 ) to Gare du Nord and gare de l est, and direct by bus to Gare de Lyon.
About the airports , we have two airports in Paris , orly, located on the south of Paris, at 20 Minutes by taxi from the hotel ( 30 euros ) and CDG airport located at 45 minutes by taxi of the hotel ( 55 euros )
You can have more information on our website and by email

Bonjour
For the breakfast you do not need to reserve in advance , you will decide when you will be at the hotel . It is a buffet at 10 euros per person.
Best regards
Mathieu
I used my debit card as a credit card without any problems --I paid in advance, and they never asked any questions when I presented my identification. That said, you should ask to be sure.
Also, our train arrived in town around 7:30am. By the time we collected our bags it was still really WAY too early to check in, but we stopped by and asked if we could leave our stuff. They were delightful and held our belongings until we returned after 3pm to "officially" check into our room.
I loved this place, I think you will too.
