Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I don't understand peoples good reviews for this hotel. Hotels provide two basic amenities. Somewhere to base yourself and somewhere to sleep. For the first it would be good to have a working safe, drink making facilities, and sometimes the luxury of a fridge. This is not great, but if it also fails to provide a place to sleep, it basically fails in its primary function! Lots of noise from the road and from the lift or building work nearby. NC

The usual reviews about Paris hotels are they are exorbitantly expensive for the money that's been shelled out but Bellevue was an exception. Given its superb location - right opposite the central St Lazarus station- and excellent facilities, Bellevue is the perfect choice for a budget traveler. Rooms are very clean, bathroom fittings all new (unlike many other Parisian hotels), great WiFi. The world famous bakery, Paul, is right around the corner so no need to have breakfast at the hotel. Even the dept store Printemps is minutes away. Area is very safe- I have returned alone even after 130am and station takes to all major attractions.

Stayed there during our first visit in Paris. Loved it to bits. Centrally located, nice clean and tidy rooms with bathtub. Recently renovated. Additional charge for breakfast, but there is a Starbucks coffee just opposite. An excellent cafe lies on the ground floor, nearly attached to the hotel providing the typical seal so often seen in french movies. Not far from major Paris attractions (Tour Eiffel, Champs Elysees, Moulin Rouge). Haussman boulevard is only 2 minutes away for a Shopping spree. Free Wifi in the hotel. Only downside is the lift which is very small and can be inconvenient for old people with luggage. Apart from that, excellent value for money hotel.

This hotel is a bit dated but neat and clean with a breakfast option. Although the breakfast is a bit pricey it is just about the only option if you are catching an early train. The room is "spacious" by french standards, quiet with excellent wifi. A short 5 minute walk will see you at the train station or near lots of shopping .

First of all there are many Hotel Bellevue's as we discovered on our recent trip to Paris and Switzerland. This is the one in the 8th arrondissement opposite the railway / metro station Gare Saint Lazare. My wife and 5 year child stayed at this family-run hotel last month for 5 nights. Hotels in Paris are quite expensive; my personal policy of not staying at a hotel rated less than 4/5 while at the same time being under a budget of $150 or so means that choices are limited. I stumbled upon this hotel while researching on Trip Advisor as well as booking.com. Both rated this hotel highly. We contacted the hotel directly and Mr. Alain Tourdes (part of the family) was kind enough to offer a room for EUR 120 per night (without breakfast but including all taxes). We further

I have been staying at the Bellevue hotel opposite Gare Saint Lazare every time I visit Paris. Renovated a couple of years ago, it's clean with a good 2-stars confort and facilities. Good french breakfast for 6 euros and decent room rates. The location is perfect, 5 minutes walk from the airport bus station or the big department stores or the Opera and a bunch of metros and city busses just outside the hotel.

Note that there are other hotels in Paris with Bellevue in their names. This is the one opposite Gare St Lazare and near Galerie Lafayette. We stayed here twice, first in a double room, which was very spacious for Europe, and then in a twin. For Paris this is a relatively budget hotel but has air-con, in-room safe, windows that shut out most of the noise and free wifi. We did not have breakfast here but ate at the brasserie on the corner for 9.5 euros - orange juice, bread, croissant, eggs, tea/coffee. We would stay here again.

The hotel is located near Gare du Nord. It's easily reached by subway. The neighbourhood seems very quiet at night but it's better to be careful. Rooms are OK and breakfast basic but good. The staff is very helpful. There are many shops, restaurants, cafes ans supermarkets in the are. The only problem we had was with the taxi. We booked it in the reception and remarked that we needed it just to go to the Arch of Triumph because we were taking the bus to the airport but the taxi driver got angry as he thought we were going to the airport. The man from the reception forgot to mention it to the driver. Apart from that, we had a good stay.

Worst Assistance... I had called for an urgent inquiry and your receptionist - Stefhania ( this is the name she had mentioned )asks me to contact her during free time as she was really busy. On behalf of telling its an urgent group inquiry she completely refused to help or connect me to any of the other department colleague..When asked for the manager she said we don't have a manager. how ridiculous..... Now we need to think again before offering your hotel to our clients....

We came back to the Bellevue again. I have been here numerous times since 1990. The price is inexpensively priced and in a great location for Paris. The rooms are quiet and the Metro is across the street. There are numerous eateries nearby. Through the years they continue to upgrade the suites. The latest was heated towels which was great after a long day walking around. It is a family run business, not a luxury hotel. It has an atmosphere like home!
