I needed a place to stay between flights. The hotel rates near Charles de Gaulle airport were higher than I wanted to pay. Since the RER B line runs from the airport to the Gare du Nord (some of them nonstop), I looked in that area and found this hotel. I'm glad I did! It was a little walk from...

I think this hotel is a hidden treasure in Paris. The staff is very polite and accommodating, the location is great (right next to the metro) and the price is right. Our room was clean and breakfast was perfect. They even made sure our two small children had plenty of cereal to eat. Parking was available on the street. We...

Travelled to Paris for shopping and sightseeing. This hotel was cheap and clean, located near the underground. Perfect for a budget traveller who spends most of the day outside. Did not include breakfast, wifi was included.

It is what you pay for. Location wise - great, 10 mins slow walk to Sacre Coeur and near supermarket and metro. Room very small but good for a solo travel. Bathroom was a bit of a shame (extra tiny and took ages to run hot water ), yet appreciated the use of it. Staff was ok, rather chilled. Had...

We ( my partner and myself) booked this hotel at the last minute after discovering our original accommodation wasn't fit for habitation. I am grateful to have gotten a room at all at the 11th hour but seriously, the standard here is very low. At 85 euros per night some basics are expected. The room had a stale smell, the...

We have booked four nights at this hotel but after a single night went through the hassle of finding a new one and moving away with our luggage. This hotel is a disgrace, the bathroom is tiny and a tall person can not even close the door while sitting down. One of our rooms had all lights busted and another...

Very tired hotel. Smells of stale cigarettes. Our room was on the street side, really noisy all night. No tea / coffee facilities in the room, but a coffee machine in the lobby. The shower needs upgrading desperately, if you're 6 foot tall you'd be ok as that's how high it was. If you are small you need to use...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
