Tucked away down a little side street, away from the hustle and bustle of Parisian life this hotel was perfect. This hotel knows how to make guests relax and enjoy their stay. The staff were very attentive, very friendly and spoke good English. And when you want or need some of that hustle and bustle you're only a few minutes...

This was over priced for small room assigned. Plus they charge for breakfast. I moved to large Pullman hotel in same area and was much more satisfied after this hotel. Young man, "Roman," on front desk was very nice. The young woman at desk seemed impatient when I needed directions. Maybe she was "overworked" at the time. (?)

The hotel is positioned well for the Montparnesse train station. We walked to it from Hotel Minstral. The staff were very friendly and helpful. While our room was small, we weren't surprised (because of being in Europe) or inconvenienced with this. The room was very clean and well appointed. The hotel has a lift. As an option, you can have...

Extraordinarily helpful staff. Upgraded upon arrival to family suite, which was spacious by Parisian standards. Terrific night's sleep on very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delightful surprise: eggs, bacon, baguettes, cheeses, fruit and endless espressos. Lovely courtyard in which to sit and check your email with excellent wifi. Would recommend without hesitation.

The hotel Mistral from the moment we made our reservations until we left was an absolute delight. They always asked about our needs. The staff was wonderful to work with. All staff members are multi-lingual, so getting help in English was not difficult at all. The hotel is located in an area that has easy access to the Paris metro,...

This hotel proved to be a good option located as it is near to Gare Montparnasse (we wanted a quick getaway to Brittany the next morning). There are lots of good bars nearby and some good restaurants too - with expat creperies very much in the ascendancy while Montparnasse cemetery is well worth an hour of anyone's time - Jean...

Me and my two sisters were staying at Hotel Mistal at the end of july. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was really clean, beautifully furnished and the bathroom more than perfect (especially the shower!). We had a wonderful time during our stay and couldn't wish more. It's close to subway stations (Montparnasse and Gaite) so we could...

My wife and I were very pleased with our stay at the Mistral. We were warmly greeted at the front desk by Roman, who provided us with some very helpful information re: our stay in Paris. He even offered some info about our upcoming tour of Mt. St. Michel, which proved very useful. Our room at the Mistral was well-appointed,...

The bustle of Paris can be stressful. Hotel Mistral is a calm little oasis. The rooms are small but very nice, clean, well-equipped and very affordable. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The small leafy enclosed patio is perfect for breakfast or for a glass of wine in the evening. Often we were the only ones there. Transit is...

When we got there we were welcomed by such a friendly front desk people. I apologize I don't know their names. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, especially the lady and the guy with the nice smile. The lobby design is very nice and modern, but classy at the same time. The room is small, but you wouldn't need more....

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
