We stayed 2 nights in October 2012. The location of hotel is excellent, at the City Centre, Notre Dame within 5 min, Louvre within 15 min. And Metro and RER station are convenient to other sign-seeing points and airport. Hotel is located at inner street with many restaurants, very busy one and safe even at night. But there would be...

We were in Paris for 4 days (it was not our first or second time in this city), so we needed a hotel: - to get easy to/from CDG - close to metro to get easily to Paris railways stations for further travel - to be in the centre of the city for in walking distance from Louvre, Conciergerie and...

The plus of this hotel is its proximity to some main sights - the Louvre, Notre Dame - and a few steps to the RER B line for the airports. Reception was efficient if not overly welcoming. My single room on an upper floor (lift) was clean but tiny. Plumbing noise was a problem as was what sounded like a...

Hotel is really central. The staff were extremely unfriendly. The toilet seat was cracked and pinched you everytime you sat down. The telephone in the room didn't work. The showers were ice cold and messed everywhere when you switched them on. Really disappointed in the complete stay. Never been treated this badly before.

I think the location of this place is awesome! It is close to everything, a short walk to Notre Dame, out your door and to the corner for subway or train, shopping right there. I have not had a better location in any of my European trips so far. Now about the hotel, it's quaint, it's low key, it's pleasant,...

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Even though the location is great, I wouldn't stay in this hotel anymore. The room was tiny, although more or less clean (ok, my friend found hair on her bed). But what made it unbearable was the noise! I accept the noise of the street since that's the price...

The hotel is located right above a very busy section where there are a lot of restaurants and pubs that are open until the early hours of the morning. The noise in the room is VERY bad. The bed is not great and feels rather old. The bathroom is very small and outdated. The staff was very rude and did...

Myself and my daughter and my friend and her daughters stayed in this hotel in order to do all the usual Paris sightseeing. The hotel is very central with I wide array of restaurants trinket shops and plenty of bars around. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. My only quibble would be that the room was...

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
