This is an old property which was recently taken over by the Hyatt so it still carries the vestiges of the previous operator such as the outdated "modern" décor and tired rooms. The lobby itself is not too bad but, judging by the décor, you could be anywhere on earth except Paris, the City of Lights. Hyatt has to work...

No iron in the room! I expect this at a cheap place like Holiday Inn Express but at a hotel with aspirations to be "top class"? Ridiculous to expect guests to go to an "ironing room". Personally, I believe this is to force people to pay for laundry/pressing in the hotel as one of the last remaining extract-money-from-the-guests-pockets options available,...

One of the great mysteries of European business travel: how do Europeans business travelers maintain their keen sense of style and fashion, given the dire shortage of irons in European hotels? The Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile is one of those hotels where not only will you not find an iron and ironing board in your room, but they will also...

recently spent a night at this hotel which was previously La Fayette. I had made the booking when it was still La Fayette but then prior our trip, I found out it was bought by Hyatt and this naturally raised my expectations a little. Wrong. The hotel is a big one 950 rooms I think, yet if you turn up...

The hotel is a landmark in Paris, as the building is 137 m tall and consists of 34 floors. Totally, there are 950 rooms. It is until now known (for many years) as the “Hotel Concorde La Fayette”, but it is recently re-named to the “Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile” It is directly connected to the “Palais des Congrès” (congress centre)...

Our reservation was made by someone else, before the hotel became a Hyatt Regency. After our trip, when I contacted Hyatt about the fact that this was not up to their caliber, they acted like I was the only person who felt this way. However in reading others' reviews, I see I'm not alone. First of all, our small, ugly...

I was a bit disappointed that we did not get a full perfect Paris ( just Eiffel tower in the very corner of the window) view from our 31st floor suite. Suite was specious but furniture VERY old. No coffee/tea facility, no iron and lack of basics like glasses for your drink from mini bar. Lovely access to Club Laffayete...

The hotel is luxurious and the staff is polite and friendly! We stayed on the 25th floor and the view from our room was stunning!!! On the 33rd floor is the bar la Vue but the view is the same as that from the rooms. It is also adjacent to the subway and generally it is easily accessible!

I am hoping that the Hyatt just hasn't had time to clean this place up since they recently purchased the property (formerly Concorde-LaFayette). The rooms are old, water stained, a little moldy smelling and hot. The carpets were badly stained and the elevators painfully slow. At one point, all the lights in the hallways on the 20th floor were out,...
