This boutique hotel is well positioned in the Marais district of Paris. There is an excellent restaurant downstairs next door called La Favorite. The tiny rooms are clean and modern. But no fridges. No bins. On the top floor in Room 60, you are guaranteed to bump your head and face into the angular ceiling which extends to the floor...

Dear Mr Scruby We would like to thank you for this lovely comment. First of all, to be honest with other readers, it looks you forget in your comment various informations. First one when you were child you were present on a boat which took fire and has to be evacuated as your wife explained me. We trully understand you...

We had a nice stay at Hotel Emile. You get what you pay for and, yes, the room and bathroom are tiny but the rooms are clean and the location is excellent. We had a bit of an issue with our bathroom & shower in that the drain was not working and the water spilled out onto the carpet, we...

boutique hotel. The hotel's location in a quiet side street in central. Quite close to Bastille, there are two metro stations nearby. The hotel has only breakfast the other morning .. French. There is a lift but only on the 2nd floor so there is the problem of accessibility to those it was important. The rooms are small, which has...

We spent 3 nights at the Emile hotel in Paris for our 25 wedding anniversary. We wanted to stay in the Marais neighborhood within walking distance to many attractions. The hotel rooms are small compared to American rooms which we were prepared for. I would say the room was 1/3 the size of an American room. The shower and sink...

All then buildings in Paris have been squished to fit the most into them and I commend hotel Emile on what they were able to do in such a small space. The elevator was very small (could only fit one person at a time with their luggage) and you had to go up a few steps to even get to...

Dear Customer, Thanks for your nice review. Always good to hear our customer enjoyed there stay.True story we have a small lift but we have one:) Hotel Emile is located in one of the oldest area in Paris so in le marais, except place des vosges it's complicated, almost impossible to find big buildings with tall lift. Best regards, Julien

Hotel Emile is a stylish hotel in a great location -- in the midst of the Marais -- with an abundance of restaurants, shops and culture within a walk. The hotel has lots of pluses and a few minuses. Among the pluses are its location -- in the midst of everything but still reasonably quiet. Design is contemporary. Staff is...

This hotel is in a fabulous location - but is a little quirky. Instead of a reception desk, there was a little cubby where a man was working on paperwork. I was taken aback, but check in was smooth and easy. There are about six steps up to a landing which contains the smallest elevator imaginable, and then the steps...

Spent a weekend (Fri-Mon) here and loved the location! Just a 2 minute walk from Place Sainte-Cathrine, which is a nice little square with several bistros. Within walking distance to most sights and excellent shopping! Rooms are very small, but comfy and clean. Breakfast was included - very simple bud good. Strong coffee, orange juice, croissants and baguette with butter,...

This hotel is a wonderful location in the city very close to the metro and a good neighborhood to walk around but also just outside of the traditional tourist areas. Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
