Detailed Reviews
We spent a long weekend in Paris for my birthday.
This was a lovely cute hotel.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
We chose the junior suite, which was on the fourth floor.
A bit tricky when the elevator wasn’t working , but the elevator was repaired quickly. Also , many of the ceilings were angled and occasionally low … so we had to be careful to not stand up in these areas.
We had lovely coffee and croissant in our room in the mornings
The location was quiet but close to many shops and restaurants.
The Marais is great for exploring and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will stay again for sure.

+1
After staying in several SLH properties in Turkey, Greece and Italy, I had high expectations for my stay at the boutique Hotel du Petit Moulin (World of Hyatt/SLH Category 6 – 25,000 points) in the trendy Parisian neighborhood of Marais. The quirky 17 rooms hotel redesigned by Christian Lacroix Is underwhelming in many ways.
First, let me tell you about the positives. The best thing the hotel has going for it is the location. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, local shops, and the eclectic gourmet Marche Des Infantes Rouge. A fantastic variety of authentic local flavors – including the famous baguette sanduÃche place Miam Miam, that is a must for any visitor to Paris, even if you have to wait one hour in line to place your order.
The hotel is a combination of two old buildings in a corner that used to be a bakery. The entrance and reception area are unassuming. Friendly staff checked us in, and we were upgraded from a basic room (16 m2) to a deluxe room (20 m2) – personally, I don’t like closet size rooms but in an old building in the Marais, cozy (= minuscule) rooms are expected.
The bathroom has a tube with a shower head not attached to the wall and without a curtain or a shower door. It’s not possible to take a shower without flooding the whole bathroom.  It’s not a functional shower situation.
I was told that this was the designer’s vision for the hotel’s bathrooms and that they were supposed to be open spaces. I’m sure that the designer never took a shower in his vision, otherwise, he would have changed it asap.
The hotel’s public areas (small living room and restaurant/bar) are colorful with modern decor.
Breakfast, included for bookings made through Hyatt, is basic and uninspired.
Besides the location, I cannot justify the $400/night average price tag for this hotel – I don’t even understand how it qualifies to be part of the Small Luxury Hotels brand. It’s not luxurious, and it lacks amenities and services. After staying in three Hyatt branded properties in Paris on previous visits, I will go back to the Hotel du Louvre next time since it is in the same category 6 level of Hotel du Petit Moulin but in a completely different universe of luxury.

We have stayed for four nights in the delightful Hotel du Petite Moulin in the heart of the Marais. The irreverent interiors by Christian Lacroix are so inviting, especially in the small lounge off the foyer where we enjoyed drinks in the evening. Nothing was too much trouble for staff, from arranging an impromptu bottle of chilled Champagne and birthday cake for our friend, to rescuing the earring I’d dropped into the bathroom sink, to sending us off on the early-morning train to Avignon with fresh croissants, fruit and yogurt wrapped in a linen napkin. Airport and train transfers were efficiently arranged, and recommendations for nearby restaurants were spot on. Our room was exceptionally quiet (301) with an enormous claw-foot tub in which to luxuriate. Most appreciated were the members of staff including Manager Luc Lohan who showed us such kindness and warmth. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

My wife and I traveled to Paris for our honeymoon recently and the best decision we made was booking with Mr Luc Guillo Lohan at the Hotel du Petit Moulin. As the General Manager, he took personal care to ensure our every inquiry was responded to promptly; even considering the time difference between LA and Paris, they were quick. And the special requests that I asked for in advance were fulfilled with ease and went beyond my expectations. We were of course greeted warmly on arrival and made to feel completely at home in their stylish yet cozy boutique hotel. They even offer access to their companion hotel nearby, which includes a gym and spa.
The hotel’s location in Le Marais was the ideal departure point for our daily explorations of Paris. Several metro stops are within a 5 minute walk, but we found ourselves easily walking to most of the popular destinations: Notre Dame, Place de la Bastille, Saint Sulpice, and even some slightly longer walks to the Louvre and the Tuileries Garden. But in fact, we could have spent the entire week just exploring the myriad shops and restaurants in Le Marais.
My wife and I agree that any future trips to Paris (hopefully soon) will include a stay at Hotel du Petit Moulin. In fact, selecting a district and a hotel was the most difficult part of planning - it’s nice to know we can comfortably skip that step for our return visit. Thank you again to Mr Luc and the whole team at Hotel du Petit Moulin!

We stayed for Easter to explore Paris.
This is the cutest little hotel in Le Marais. We booked through SLH and got a good rate and a small welcoming gift when we arrived.
The hotel decor is absolutely stunning and impeccably well kept and clean. The room was spacious with great beds, closet space, coffee and tea making machine and fresh bottle of water every day. The bathroom was luxurious with black tiles, amenities and a lot of space for all your toiletries.
The breakfast is typically French with bread, pastries, yoghurts and soft boiled eggs. Good quality food and cosy breakfast room which is also a bar/lounge in the evening.
Location is great within Le Marais surrounded by restaurants and shops and also close to the metro.

I booked the Hotel du Petit Moulin when it was still affiliated with Hyatt. Immediately after I booked, I received an email that this hotel was no longer a part of Hyatt. I thought about canceling my booking and choosing another Hyatt or Marriott property in Paris to get points, but with the good reviews on here and the hotel's reputation, I decided to go ahead and stay.
I was very disappointed with the experience at the hotel almost immediately when we arrived in Paris. Prior to arriving, the hotel offered a car from the airport to the property. It was booked through a third party company. Due to the hotel's high rating, I expected it would be a high-end vehicle and professional pick up. Instead, I had a guy show up in jeans and a wrinkled shirt who drove me in his dirty car (two half used bottles of water were in the backseat, as well as a dirty napkin). Upon arrival, reception was very kind and gave me a lovely check-in, welcoming me and explaining all of the features of the hotel. The hotel is very cute and charming. Once I got to the room, I was disappointed again. Before arriving, the hotel sent me an email asking if I needed anything special. I filled out the form and requested some wine and treats for the room. There was nothing in the room when I arrived and it never showed up. The room itself is very cool and funky with whimsical decor by Christian Lacroix. The room was very clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable and I loved the windows that opened to the outside. The bathroom was surprisingly large and offered plenty of towels and a wonderful heated towel rack. The next disappointments came from housekeeping. On the second day, the room was serviced, but they didn't pick up some of the trash or the used wine glasses. On the third day, housekeeping didn't clean the room at all, despite my having the sign out to make up the room. The night reception gentleman had to come to the room and give me towels and take out my trash. Finally, on the day we checked out, reception called to ask if I needed help with luggage. I said yes, please. No one ever came to the room.
This hotel has a fun style and is in a great area. It's in the middle of wonderful shops and restaurants and within walking distance to some of the great parts of the city. However, for $500+/night, the service elements that were missed made this a property I would not return to. I won't be back. I switched to the Renaissance Republique and had a much better stay.

From the first contact until we left, we were very well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble, and the room we had (301) was excellent. Le Marais is a great location with so much to see nearby, and several metro stations are also close if you want to go further afield. We can also recommend the bistro le Petit Marchè for a reasonably priced meal with fast and friendly service.
I would definitely stay in Du Petit Moulin again if we ever get the chance to do so.

The reception, service, and housekeeping staff are all friendly and helpful. They spoke multiple languages that we heard and was helpful to switch to English when they understood it is our native language. The staff is a highlight because they made our stay feel easy and enjoyable from the first moment to check-out.
Both the common areas and the room of the hotel has very interesting decor that makes the spaces cozy and warm in feeling. The interior design integrates exceptionally well to the neighborhood of Les Marais.
The location of the hotel couldn't be better. It's literally 1 block in multiple directions to the hustle and bustle of Paris—to wonderful boutiques and delightful eateries. It's a 10 minute walk to the lower part of Les Marais—shopping central for those who really like to shop—and the Seine river itself. Within a 5 minute walk is easy access to multiple metro stations that spans across at least 6 metro lines taking a visitor conveniently to just about any points of interest within the Paris Ring.
Future hotel stays in Paris will definitely be here.

There is also the possibility to park in our sister hotel, Le Pavillon de La Reine, located at about 8 minutes by walk from the hotel in Place des Vosges.
