Read a lot of positive reviews of this hotel, so gave it a go for our 3 day Paris break. The hotel itself is tucked down a side street in the Montparnasse district (14th Arrondissement) which is a lovely area to walk around with cafe...More
The hotel was ok. A little out from the main tourist area of Paris, although only 2 blocks from the subway. Great French bakery around the corner. The room was small but that was expected for Paris. The bathroom sink kept clogging and the shower...More
I was traveling for work from the US to Paris for two weeks with my girlfriend. I needed a place that was convenient to get into the city and close to public transportation but would break the bank during peak seasons. Fred Hotel fulfilled all...More
We staid for work for 5 days and had a room with extra space (advice from other reviews). That was a good choice! The room was quiet(6th floor), spacious enough, clean, with all the amenities (hair drier, internet, a large desk, some hangers and space...More
Really enjoyed the Fred Hotel. Boutique style, in a 6 floor building, we were at the top in what must have been an artist's garret, a long time back. Very well appointed room with two beds, modern bathroom etc. Breakfast was served in the ground...More
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small
gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
