Detailed Reviews
This is a decent hotel with relatively small rooms. For a visit to a city like Paris, where one spends most of the day outside, it is a good hotel as it is basically used to just sleep. The breakfast is on the small scale but also OK.
The location is also good as it is located within 6 minutes walking distance to a metro and tram line that both take you into the city. The distance by metro from the center of Paris is about 25 - 35 minutes which is decent for a city like Paris.
I would recommend it for the budget traveler, who would rather spend the money in the city rather than a bedroom.

The rooms were definitely clean but slightly small, the third bed was always unmade (very awkward to reach since the staircase matches the shelves on the wall). There are no wardrobes but as previously mentioned only two shelves with 4/5 hangers. The location of the bathroom is a bit disappointing since you find the sink in the room while the bathroom in another and the shower in yet another door... the phono must be requested at reception and with a deposit... Rooms without the possibility of opening the window. The mattresses were comfortable as were the pillows. The breakfast was quite extensive having both a cutting-edge sweet and savory delicacies of all nationalities. Excellent location near the metro.

Stayed here with a friend recently when we were running the Paris Marathon. This is a budget 2* hotel so don’t expect luxury. The room, while small, was clean and had all we needed for a short stay. It’s a pod type room and when you step outside the shower you’re effectively in the bedroom. Breakfast available for €9. We had it one morning and it was basic but fine for the price. Any staff we encountered on reception were helpful. Hotel is located close to Porte d’Orleans metro station perhaps 5 minute walk. Restaurants, bars and supermarkets close by. We paid less than €200 for 2 people for 2 nights and it was well worth the price.

We stayed at the Ibis Budget Porte d'Orlean in Paris on November 2022 for 3 days with our family.
As a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) we had booked two rooms; one of 3 and one of 2.
When we arrived the first day, we were told that there were no more rooms of three and that we were being put in three rooms of two, which was impossible as we could not let a child sleep alone in a room. Even though we were not happy about this, we told our contact person that we were willing to change hotels in the same group if he could find room for us elsewhere to solve the problem.
Unfortunately, this was not possible and they told us that they would find a solution for the second night.
So we had to take a mattress from the third room and put it on the floor.
The next night when we came back to the hotel for the second night, having had no news, we imagined that nothing had changed. So I went up to my room but the door code was not working. So I went down to the reception to ask for help.
That's when I was offended to see the receptionist bring my stuff that they had packed themselves without asking me. The receptionist was told that this was completely unacceptable, that it was a flagrant and very serious violation of privacy. What right do they have to put away my clothes (balled up in my bag...), to put my toothbrush in my toilet bag ....
We asked to speak to the management but were asked to wait until the next morning because of the late hour. The next morning, we again asked to speak to the management, Mr. Larbi Ouhamou but first he was on leave and then, after insisting, and after the receptionist had, according to her, reached him on the phone, he was in a meeting and would be back at the hotel an hour later.... So we asked to have his direct line so that we could at least reach him easily. But that was not possible either. A number was given to us and it turned out, after calling him an hour later, that it was a payphone number.
At the end, we wrote to the customer service of the parent company (ALL - Accor Live Limitless) to explain our problem.
Their reply was a standard reply of exuses to which I again replied. Since then, it has been radio silence.

definitely worth paying extra and staying anywhere else. when i tell you our stay here only got worse as the time went on, i mean it. not only were the reception staff horribly rude the whole time throughout our stay, the cleaners also enjoyed taking our items from our rooms! £200 airpods disappeared from, what we thought, was a safe and secure room & after notifying reception that they have been taken, we were dismissed and gaslit being told over and over that “you lost them whilst you were out” and “our cleaners don’t steal” until we were persistent enough that they told us to just come back in the morning so we could speak to someone higher up. after coming back the next day to speak to the higher up member of staff, she took our claim very seriously and ensured that something would be done. it was indeed a member of staff that has taken my airpods which i thankfully got back however my personalised case had been taken off and lost and they were in a worse condition from before they had been taken, even though they had only been out of my possession for 12 hours. the only compensation we had received was a free breakfast and a lousy apology letter, didn’t even get a sorry off the staff!
don’t know if it was the fact that we were a group of 3 young girls thinking that they could get away with it but nevertheless, it was an appalling experience that i wouldn’t wish anyone else to go through

Do not book at this hotel under any circumstances! The room is uncomfortable, the air conditioning didn't work (even though the advertisement said it had air conditioning) when we went to report the problem to the person responsible at the hotel, he said it wasn't his problem, he shouted and even justified his stance with the fact that it was black. In the end, the hotel's treatment of consumers and the quality of the structure proved to be extremely precarious and even offensive given the price paid.

After a 4 night stay
the first night it was very hot in the room
After informing reception, we were changed rooms, explaining to us that there was a problem with the air conditioning. There are only two in the other room. Also problem with air conditioning. It was very hot. Fortunately we had a window following the stay.
Very basic bathroom (cabin and sink directly in the room),
Shower area just separated by a curtain (a little limited)
We asked for a hairdryer and were told that there are no hairdryers available at reception and after several requests, I did not get a hairdryer
I find it unacceptable that we cannot have a hair dryer at reception and to top it off on the last day we asked to keep our luggage. A few hours. The price was two euros per bag.
After posting a comment on the ibis, budget porte d'Orléans website, my comment was deleted

It is a budget hotel, so i have no issues with the set up, rooms, etc. However the staff was not kind and had a bit of "i dont care" attitude. Also i made a booking on booking.com. it was weird as when i chose the room it told me it is for 1 person and for 2ppl it is a few euros more. I wanted to be fair so went back and chose a room for 2. Once booked i noticed the system booked 2 rooms. I straight contacted both the hotel and booking.com. Hotel told me to contact booking, booking said they contacted the hotel and the hotel refused to make an exception and do the cancellation plus refund. It was seconds after booking, i paid for a room i have not used and definitely wont be back. A bit of emphaty and customer service skills would be recommended.

We started strong with the first night, the night receptionist treats customers very badly, even if you want to drink water or leave the room. The sheets are synthetic and have caused me an allergy. The staff tells you that the water from the bathroom tap is drinkable (it has given us all an incredible tummy ache). Not to mention that they have attacked us and chased us and insulted us late at night.
In conclusion, a horrible hotel and it is not worth investing a single cent in this miserable hotel at all.

The stay was good, but the room very small for three people. We found only two blankets, so we asked for a third one.
The service representative rudely told us that there is no available blanket for us, and we should not expect one because we pay the same price as for a double room!!

You can take the RER B to Denfert Rochereau and from there Pink metro line to Porte D orlean. The hotel is just within walking distance to the metro.
It will take around 40 minutes. You can walk (5-10 minutes) to the Porte d’Orleans metro station and then take the metroline 4 (Porte de Clignancourt) and then change to line 6 (Etoile) on Raspail. Then get off at Bir-Hakeim and walk approx. 10 min to the Eiffel Tower/Seine
Check out: parisbytrain to read about train tickets and prices. I usually travel on a Navigo week pass as it is the cheapest option for me, since you can also get to/from the airport and Disneyland Paris.
While I did not avail the parking facility, saw a board and direction towards parking. Sorry - do not have an answer - you can call them up direct.
Depends on no. Of travellers. You can take RER from CDG airport to city university station and each ticket will cost 11 euros. Hotel is 1.5 km from station so you may have to walk or take a cab also uber from airport cost close 55 euros.hope it helps.
