We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. The design of the hotel is quite special, which makes it a pleasure to stay there. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are very small (typical for Paris) but with a very comfortable bed. If you want to spend a lot of time in the room, then...

Dear Katia, What a nice comment! We are pleased that the staff was to the height of your expectations and I am really glad that you enjoyed and experienced the hotel and its sorroundings the way you describe it, cosmopolitan, not touristic, very central, like an unusual small village in the centre of Paris. We are always happy to help...

Spent a weekend in Paris, at this quirky property right in the heart of the city and absolutely loved it. The place has a great quirky vibe and the staff are brilliant - really friendly and helpful. One very nice lady at reception even went as far as printing out a Google map to help me find the Pompidou centre...

The restaurant is part of the trendy Edgar hotel. The menu is somewhat limited, but everything on it was very good. The boudin was particularly great. Both the crowd and staff were young and hip. Service was quite friendly and accommodating. Fairly-priced and cool place--I'd go back.

Hotel Edgar is a small but charming hotel! It's located in a quiet street. Every room has a different style, and we ended up in the "playing with mirror" room that had mirrors on all surfaces. The room was small, but very comfortable - and the hotel was so quiet that we did not hear anything from the street outside....

I love this hotel! Every room has a different artistic theme- we stayed in a room full of toys and plastic snakes- excellent fun and it was very well executed. The rooms are not massive but definitely big enough and the bathroom was great. All staff are extremely friendly and the food and breakfast are both very good. The location...

Stayed one night when passing through Paris this August. The room was small but interesting and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. We had a day to spend waiting for our train. Went for a jog to the Seine in the morning then had a nice, easy walk through a neighborhood with shops and cafes to the Pompidou Center...

Spent 3 nights here and enjoyed it. We had room 6 which was a very good size by Paris standards. We had dinner in the hotel and it was excellent, mainly fish but other interesting options on offer. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel bar is very popular with locals.

Extraordinary boutique hotel. I rarely if ever review hotels in Paris, I can always find faults and things that I am not satisfied with, then I stumbled on this small boutique hotel this past June, and I know I found a place to call home. The staff is fantastic! Really fantastic, helpful, nice, welcoming, kind, alert and most of all...

We were blown away by what we stumbled across when searching the quaint backstreets of Paris. From reviews we read, we were excited but didnt expect such a lovely botique hotel. Set back from the hustle and bustle you really felt part of the local culture. The hotel is set in a little square and looks modern. The staff were...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
