In the heart of the legendary Saint-Germain-des-Pres district, its antique-dealers, galleries, designer boutiques... this former mansion of Duc de Rohan, , shares the neighborhood with the Louvre & Orsay Museums, famous cafes including "Le Cafe de Flore" and "Les Deux Magots". tastefully restored offers a cosy atmosphere with old beams and stonework. Like a rare item in a historic case, this nice 18th-century mansion offers a unique scenery in the heart of Saint Germain des Pres. The marriage of the Empire-style decoration and the 18th-century architecture confers to this hotel charm and authenticity.

The hotel is a jewel on the left bank of the Seine, in the select Saint Germain district, practically on a street opposite the Louvre. Very well located, 10 min walking distance to the Louvre and 11 min to Musee d’Orsay, with Boulevard Saint Germain and a lot of restaurants nearby.
The room is very beautifully decorated, in baroque style, like the whole hotel that gives you the feeling that you are staying in a small and cozy palace!
We had a very quiet room both day and night. The cleanliness was impeccable and everything worked perfectly.
Well, the Classic room is very small, but adequate enough for two people (not fat) who come to Paris for fun and sightseeing, not to waste time in the hotel.
The bed is very comfortable but not very big, anyway, it is enough for two people. The air conditioning is individually adjustable and does not make noise, it works impeccably.
In the bathroom: plenty of free toiletries replaced daily, the rain forest shower is wonderful, the shower cabin is large enough and well sealed.
The kettle was welcome, coffee and tea is added every day.
Very large TV with many channels, including radio stations.
The breakfast was delicious; food is sufficient and of very good quality! I will describe the menu, because many guests are looking for breakfast details :) : a wide range of French cheese and very good pastry (delicious French croissants), baked potatoes, omelette, fried bacon, sausages, ham, salami, Mortadella, cereals, fresh vegetables, boiled eggs, different kinds of bread, fresh juice (orange and many more), milk, vegetable milk, cakes, yogurt, very good coffee, pancakes, sweet and jam, various fruits etc.
The staff: everyone at the reception is wonderful! Beautiful, young and extraordinarily friendly and smiling people. They are always helping, cheerful and well-informed, with love for their work and for people!
Congratulations to managers and team!

No criticism, but I have to say, for other potential guests:

The lamps (cage-shaped) are too big and close to the head, you must always be careful not to hit them.
If you are more corpulent, a classic room is not the right choice for you, because the room, the bathroom and the bed are a bit small. For my husband and I it was perfect, we are thin people.
If you have a large luggage, you will have a storage problem, the spaces are very small, everything is a bit tight, even in the closet. There is not enough space around the bed.

There is no table, only a very small desk and 2 small and soft stools.

Anyway, for us it was an excellent accommodation, I warmly recommend this superb hotel and would come back anytime!

The Hotel Academie was our home away from home during a 5-day Paris stay in a much longer journey around France. The location is tucked off the main road so traffic is minimal but also very easy to walk anywhere you'd want to go to visit the Paris sites. We were warmly greeted the moment we walked through the front door and all of the staff were friendly and helpful in all our needs. We stayed in a junior suite, with plenty of room to spread out and relax; the look was modernly appointed while still retaining the french country charm we enjoy. Breakfast is tasty, but nothing beyond what you might expect in other locations. There is a nice sitting area where you can have a drink and relax as well. Above all, the staff was exceptional; if they didn't have it they'd help you get it, always with a smile.

My boyfriend and I stayed here in mid-January 2020 and it was absolutely fantastic! We were pleasantly surprised to find we had been upgraded to a larger room. The rooms are gorgeous and relaxing when you need to take a break from sight-seeing.
The lobby bar was a perfect place to sit and have a glass of wine before dinner each night. With the public transport being unavailable due to the strikes this location couldn't have been more centrally located. We walked everywhere (not that we had a choice lol). The Louvre is right across the river (maybe 10 minutes if you walk slow). We generally only rely on public transportation when traveling in Europe, but with the strikes we decided to take a private car to the airport the morning of our departure, the hotel arranged everything and our driver was there on time and totally professional. Overall this was a fantastic hotel and I'd definitely stay here again!

This is a delightful, small boutique hotel with "big service"! We were at the hotel for a total of 11 days and nights. The location was fantastic - 10 to 15 minute walk to all major sites. Patricia and Irene, the front desk team, were exceptionally knowledgeable, very friendly and extremely customer focused. We had a Jr Suite which was about the size of an American hotel room with comfortable beds and a big bathroom. Two words of warning: The tub is very deep and thus difficult to climb into for short people or those with flexibility issues. If you're not familiar with European hair dryers you should know that they are more like "reverse" vacuum cleaners. Not very hot and with a tube and nozzle that make it hard to dry your hair. We bought a local hair dryer for $15 euros at Monoprix store and was worth the small investment. We loved our stay at this lovely hotel and will genuinely miss the staff.

From the moment we first reached out to book our stay at Academie Hotel St. Germain we were welcomed like family. Pedro was incredibly helpful and responsive to our every question and request. Abdel picked us up at the airport on Christmas Day with a huge smile on his face and engaged us in warm conversation the entire drive. Patricia greeted us at the front desk as if we were family and went out of her way the entire 17 days of our stay to make us comfortable and happy. Anna was a bright light every morning making sure we had a good night sleep, everything we needed was in our room, and even found my husband decaf coffee which isn't usually offered. Giorgi always had a warm greeting for us and assisted with any request we had such as an ice bucket for our room or extra towels. Overall, the entire exemplary staff is what makes this hotel the gem it is. The rooms were kept immaculately clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the rooms are a fairly good size by Parisian standards with surprisingly roomy closet space and even several drawers, and it was relatively quiet for being in such a central location. Though there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, we opted for the bed & breakfast package and found breakfast to be quite tasty, convenient, good quality, and reasonably priced. The location is fabulous with quaint restaurants, brasseries, patisserie's, coffee houses, beautiful boutique shops, and Metro access within a block or two. We are eager to return and will definitely tell others about this marvelous find!

P.S. The ONLY complaint we had was with the enormous "birdcage-like" bedside chandeliers. We stayed 17 nights and must have hit our heads on these darn things at least two dozen times. I hope they opt for smaller, more space-appropriate lighting before our next visit.

We loved the Hotel Academie; one of the nicest hotel stays we have ever had . Beautifully renovated with a caring and very helpful staff. Small enough to have an intimate feel yet offer a full array of services. When we had a hiccup with our shower, Patricia immediately found us an alternative and moved us to another room where we could be more comfortable and not be inconvenienced. Patricia was always ready to help in any way or just give us a warm and friendly greeting in the AM. Anna was also very attentive to anything we might need. The location was a perfect base for walking & exploring much of Paris. After a day it really felt like our neighborhood. I would definitely be a return visitor.

Because I'm fascinated with French history, I scrounge up every spare dime and visit Paris as often as possible. I went this past July as soon as Covid restrictions were lifted. Patricia, the manager, called me at home (in Texas) when she saw my email asking about a reservation. Then, she proceeded to lay out the welcome mat - even though she was to be out of town during my visit. Traveling alone can be daunting but, the staff at l'Acadamie never fails to make me feel at home. When I arrived, after no sleep on the flight, Izzy welcomed me with a cup of coffee and stored my suitcase while they put the finishing touches on my room. (It was ready hours before check-in time.) All of the hotel's employees are kind and professional and Irene went above and beyond. For instance, she found a convenient pharmacy and made my reservation to get the Covid test required to return to the U.S.. The hotel's recent renovation created a look with a lovely balance of old world and contemporary. It is immaculate, comfortable, and perfectly located - walk two blocks and over the Pont du Carrousel and you're at the Louvre within walking distance of dozens of other interesting sites. (Walks in Lost Paris: A Journey into the Heart of Historic Paris by Leonard Pitt reveals fascinating and little known locations.) I look forward to my next Paris trip and know exactly where I‘ll stay.

My wife and I decided to visit Paris for a long weekend taking in Munster v Racing92 rugby at La Defense arena.
Having researched many hotels in SAN Germaine area we fixed on Academie & stayed 4 nights.
This is a relatively small, personal and spotlessly clean hotel. 100% all around to all staff, especially Patricia at reception who stepped into the breach when our reserved taxi failed to turn up for airport. Both she and her colleague Irene were most helpful & friendly as were all other staff members.
Rooms prefect and breakfast very good. The central location suited us perfectly near many travel services.
We have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Academie for couples who like comfort & good service with a smile.
10 out of 10 from us!

Our experience at Académie Hôtel St. Germain was wonderful! Elegant and charming decor with exposed brick walls and ceiling beams in many areas welcomed us to our temporary home in Paris. The front desk clerk, Patricia, greeted us as if we were family, and by the end of our stay we indeed felt we had become part of the family of this delightful small hotel.

Our room was both elegant and comfortable. Daily housekeeping service meant we returned each evening to a spotless room with fresh linens and a wonderfully deep bathtub. We enjoyed daily breakfasts in the lovely breakfast room and were grateful for the always-smiling Ana, who oversees the area and makes you feel at home.

The hotel’s location one block off Blvd. St. Germain and two blocks from both Café de Flor and Café de Deux Magots, can’t be beat. We walked to all the major museums and enjoyed many restaurants along the Boulevard. One of our favorite restaurants, Toscano, is about fifty feet from the hotel; its convenient location was matched only by the quality of the food.

One final example of the family-like atmosphere of this hotel occurred when we arrived at the airport and realized in a panic that we had left a bag in our room. We called Patricia, who said they had already found the bag, and we were able to arrange to have it shipped to our home. Even what seemed like a terrible end to a wonderful visit turned out to be one more way the staff at Académie Hôtel de St. Germain take care of you like family.

What a great find in Paris ,ideally located being a 10 min walk to the louvre etc , and in the heart of bars ,restaurants and street life just 5 mins away.
The hotel was clean and very well appointed
The Hotel colleagues were fantastic and could not have done anymore for us …. Even to the point that the housekeepers had spotted that I had only used the decafe coffee left in the room and so the next day left me lots more decafe coffee sachets ( a small thing ,but a great thing)

Will use again and have no problem recommending to friends
