Looking for a place to stay in Paris? Then look no further than :The Petit Beaumarchais Hotel & Spa, located in the heart of historic Paris, a few steps from Place des Vosges and Place de la Bastille, is a charming, comfortable and warm place to come and sleep and relax. A place where people come easily and with pleasure, a bit like spending the night with friends. Quite simply, a place where you feel good. We have therefore imagined the hotel as a large, welcoming and lively house: you can come and drink your coffee on the bar island, organize a professional meeting in the living rooms, read a book in the library or relax at the spa. All the rooms are tastefully decorated, every detail has been thought out and redesigned to find the right balance between a pretty decoration and the essential comfort of a hotel. The colors of our rooms are carefully chosen by our decorator, a painter by training, to create a soft and warm atmosphere in each room Every morning, our guest can taste our delicious pastries: croissants, pain au chocolat, fresh breads… … a real treat Coffee, tea, freshly squeezed fruit juice, cakes, cereals, yogurts, dried fruits… On the savory side, a selection of quality cheese and cold meats. After a long day of work or a visit, you can privately take advantage of our Spa area to relax in the Flotarium / Sauna or have a massage treatment by an approved practitioner according to their choice. Our guests can also take advantage of our Bar to enjoy our house cocktails or other drinks with friends and to accompany your glasses, a selection of very simple but very good products, chosen from small producers For those interested in checking out popular landmarks while visiting Paris, Le Petit Beaumarchais Hotel, is located a short distance from Louvre Museum (1.6 mi) and Palais Garnier - Opéra National de Paris (2.1 mi). While visiting Paris, you may want to try some dumplings at one of the nearby restaurants, such as L'Arpege, Ze Kitchen Galerie, or Raviolis Chinois Nord Est. If you’re looking for something to do, Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris (0.9 mi), Le Marais (0.4 mi), and Latin Quarter (1.2 mi) are a nice way to spend some time, and they are all within walking distance from our Hotel. We hope and would be grateful if you shared and told others about this lovely small hotel where you spent the night if you enjoyed your experience with us

Doesn’t look much on the outside but the inside is 6 stars, looks can be deceiving. Service is amazing, room was adequate for 2 of us for 4 nights. Nicely located near the new opera house and train is only meters away. Plus a treat to the spa, amazing!

We spent four nights here in July 2019 on our two-week trip through France and Italy. We were three longtime girlfriends, so shared one large room that was equipped with three twin beds.
First, we soooo appreciated the air conditioning which worked amazingly well, considering the age of the hotel. It was during Europe's Heat Wave and we would have died without its cool relief at the end of each day.
The room had plenty of storage for three adult women, and a couple of different spots to get ready each day. The bathroom layout was ideal, as it was two rooms … one for la toilette and a vanity; and the other with a vanity and tub/shower. The staff on the front desk were fantastic and we also had assistance from the kitchen and housekeeping staff.
The front desk staff answered our many questions re: directions, transportation, shopping, sightseeing and local restaurants. We received several great recommendations, including Brunch at the Gare Lyon's Le Train Bleu.
The subway is literally a few steps to the left of the hotel and the main Lyons train station was only a leisurely 10 minute walk. The area abounded with lovely cafes, patisseries, butcher shops, boutiques and retailers, flower vendors and fresh fruit/produce vendors. Anything you would ever need was basically outside your door. On the weekend, there is a quaint market just around the corner where you can find amazing fresh food and treasures.
There was only one very minor drawback which was the size of the elevator. First, it was great that there was an elevator as many old hotels do not offer one, so that was awesome! It is just very very tiny. Two people with luggage is a stretch, but it can be done.
Overall, this is a wonderful hotel, with quirky/artistic décor in every room, a lovely main floor lounge/bar area, super staff … you need to stay here !

The hotel was great value for money and perfectly located near Bastille metro station with access to a great range of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean except for a few cobwebs around the door frame. We made use of the spa whilst staying at the hotel, this was a fabulous addition to our trip (highly recommend).
The check in process was smooth but upon arrival, we arrived to a very hot bedroom (25C+) despite the weather being relatively mild outside. The air-conditioning did not work and the next day we were informed by reception that they don’t switch the air conditioning on until the summer, so there was nothing they could do to help. Due to location (on a busy boulevard), windows could only be opened for a short time, so unfortunately our sleep quality wasn’t great for the first few nights. Perhaps other guests also asked about the air conditioning because it suddenly started working after the second night of our stay which meant our sleep quality improved.
The hotel is located in an old building so you will be able to hear lots of corridor noise from 7am from guests and housekeeping. There was also maintenance work happening outside our room from 8am which we weren’t informed about. The works continued on the floor above (the following day) so it must have been planned in advance.

The hotel was ok. Location amazing for the Bastille area and Metro lines, we had a non road side room which was nice and quiet.
A couple of our major issues included an alarm going off at 8am on the only day we didn’t have to get up, this in itself can’t be helped, but for the duration of the alarm going off, us getting up and getting to reception, the staff just didn’t care, no effort was made to inform guests of what was happening, whether it was a drill or whether we actually needed to vacate the premises, and when we did get down to reception, no apology was made, which leads me to my next issue, we asked if we could at least have a coffee as we were rudely awakened and there were no in room facilities, we also had another morning coffee, both of which we came to discover we were charged for, and the staff refused to remove them from the final bill, €10 for 4 morning coffees in a hotel. Ridiculous.
Despite the location and probably the largest and quietest room we’ve had in Paris, and we do visit once or twice a year, we wouldn’t stay here again. They could also do with a full length mirror somewhere you can actually see it, there’s one inside a wardrobe door but it’s not usable as it’s too close to the bed, that’s a little one I know but I know a lot of ladies like to check their outfit, less a complaint more a note for management.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback in regards to your stay at the Original. We do once again do present our sincere apologies for the alarm that morning. Indeed this is obviously independent of our goodwill - triggered from a smoker in a room....at least we do know it works :) Though we are a bit surprised of your statements about no apologies and the no care factor. Indeed, the staff on duty at the reception did see all guests that came down or called and presented obvious apologies and help as needed during these few minutes of alarm. Not all guests did come down and we understand since it was a false alarm. Rest assured that if a real incident, all rooms would have been cleared and checked as part of our procedure to evacuate. In regards to your check out and the staff "refusing" bluntly to offer coffees....again we do not understand why this is turned that way as Charles, who remembers doing your check out the next morning was only asked the query "the coffees are chargeable?" and you were informed that we do offer them in the afternoon for our afternoon tea breaks...and that was all...and it would have been with pleasure to offer them to you for the inconvenience but that incident was not either brought up. We regret to see that your Original experience was in the end tarnished by the incident of the alarm - unfortunate but most went on understanding it can occur - but we regret also to see added and incorrect behaviors that did impose a clarification. We have you had a great return home. Sincerely, Fabien

My wife and I had a great 4 days here. The hotel and its rooms are not massive but very well maintained and comfortable. All the staff we met were all very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. There is a small Spa with a flotation pool and sauna that we used for a 45 minute session that we found very relaxing and helped us recover from a long day of walking around Paris. There is a small room at the front on the ground floor that doubles both as the area for the breakfast buffet with a mix of breads, pastries, cereal etc. and in the evening this doubles as a small Cocktail bar. The range of drinks is fairly limited but my wife enjoyed working through a small selection of the cocktails available! Whilst the location is little out of central Paris it is only a 100 metres or so from a Metro station with a link to 3 of the main lines so getting around is easy. All in all we would happily return to this hotel

I decided to stay at Le Petit Beaumarchais as I was attending a performance at the Opera Bastille. I'm so pleased I did as it's a wonderful hotel. From check-in to returning the evening after, having left my bag there while I spent the day in Paris, nothing was too much trouble for the fantastic staff. My room (single) was on the 6th floor and rarely have I stayed in a quieter room, ensuring an excellent night's sleep. Bathroom amenities were the luxurious Nuxe brand, bathrobe and slippers were waiting, and complimentary mineral water was very welcome. I was particularly touched by the handwritten welcome note and the chocolate almonds. Breakfast was excellent, although slightly chaotic as there weren't any available tables on arrival meaning a wait till one became free and was cleaned. However, once seated an excellent cappuccino was brought quickly and I was able to help myself to the delicious, locally baked bread and pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice and yogurt. Also, don't forget to book spa access - it's hard to believe that the hustle and bustle of the Bastille is going on above your head. I'm so glad that I discovered Le Petit Beaumarche and would not only heartfeltedly recommend it, but would stay there again like a shot.

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. It’s extremely well located in Bastille on the Boulevard Beaumarchais which is calmer and less of a “scene” than the streets closer to Rue de la Roquette. It’s a 5-10 minute walk to the Seine or the heart of the Marais, and you have many subway lines to choose from in the Bastille metro.
The staff is very professional, kind, eager to help, and speak great English. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and they even called a cab to the airport for me without any hesitation.
Clean but small room. The bed was somewhat hard but by no means uncomfortable. The bathroom was nicely laid out and the shower had good pressure. I wish the toiletries had been from a nicer brand. My only complaint is that noise from the hallways could be heard in the room, especially when other guests let doors slam.

First, make sure to get the name of the hotel correct! LE PETIT Beaumarchais. My Uber almost dropped me off at the wrong hotel, currently under construction (Hotel Beaumarchais) not far away from this one.
On a recent trip (1st time) to Paris, my friend and I decided to split our one week between 2 boutique hotels. This one was the 2nd half of our trip. Good to note: it is located on a busy street, a main thoroughfare right by Place de la Bastille. So it can be a little hectic (with grabbing an Uber, or the urban vibe late at night), but there are definite benefits: right by the Metro, bustling nightlife just around the corner, great food options, convenient pharmacies, etc.
The facility is well-kept, and the service warm, with the entire staff we encountered. I believe Tony was the one who checked me in/out and he was great. He walked me through all the amenities, including a complimentary, private salt bath which I didn't get to take advantage of, but looked great when he personally took the time to walk me through the cozy premises.
Rooms were clean and well-kept. Upon arrival to our respective rooms, there was a personalized note and small bag of chocolates which I thought was a really considerate, sweet gesture. The entire hotel is quite quiet throughout the entire day. I had a larger room vs. my friend, who opted for a "view" over extra space...and wow, what a view he had (on the 6th floor). His room was smaller, with a tub, but the room itself was in an interesting shape, with a window that opened up to a glorious view of Paris, where you could even see the Eiffel Tower in the distance.
No real complaints though I have to note their elevator is 'old school' (doors shut before the lift activates, and only couriers one set of passengers at a time)...notable for those who are claustrophobic.
Breakfast buffet was delicious and well worth it, and the bar was a nice treat too. We stopped by a couple of nights and loved that it felt so intimate, as if we were guests in one of the bartenders' flats. Pedro and Leo was FANTASTIC (as well as the night manager Ramos). Loved getting to know them. Also, pro tip: Pedro (who is Brazilian) serves the best caipirinha! Both you could tell truly love their craft, so on both nights we loved enjoying what felt like a semi-private gathering, watching them craft beautiful specialty drinks...as the hotel stays quite quiet and intimate for you to really soak up the atmosphere.
Thank you to the entire staff of Le Petit Beaumarchais for a delightful experience. One I'm not soon to forget.

We were a family of three and needed multiple beds in a good location at a reasonable price which was not easy to find in Paris over Christmas. We were fortunate to stay at this hotel.
There was a very small elevator but a person needed to walk 4 stair steps to gain access to the elevator. The receptionist was very helpful in assisting if needed.
The beds and pillows were comfortable and were upgraded to a family room which provided more square footage. We did miss having a refrigerator and a box of kleenex.
Breakfast was 18 euros per person and was not worth the price. There are quite a few restaurants in the area but during Christmas Day many were closed.

It took a lot of visits, but I finally found my hotel in Paris! The location is perfect, right next to a bunch of Metro stops, and an easy walk to the Marais (which is an LGBT plus), Bastille of course, Place des Vosges, etc.
Though maybe smaller like in most Paris hotels, the rooms are clean and stylish and quiet. Ours was right off the busy boulevard and the windows kept out every sound except maybe a muffled siren. The bar downstairs is a comfortable area to hang out and the bartenders are engaging and skilled (the one with the tattoos on his neck knew his trade really well!). The rest of the staff is super friendly and helpful, too.
What else? Good breakfast. GREAT WiFI (can't say that a lot in a lot of Euro hotels). Spa downstairs is a sweet bonus.
I'm planning another trip to Paris next year and am coming back for sure.

The rooms must all be different, as I don’t recall this being an issue.
Yes ! The whole hotel has been renovated, and we added a spa and a cocktail bar. We'll look forward to welcome you!
Walk down a short lobby hallway, then take 3 steps or so down, to the lift.
Chez Janou was good. I ended up going there twice without reservations and found space each time I went. Locals throng the place so it’s always festive:) Ask about the chocolate mousse bowl that they pass around;)
Yes you make a left at the door walk down the block the opposite corner I forgot the name but it's great
