I booked the hotel around 2 months in advance and paid in full via Expedia. The day of the booking (New Years Eve no less) the man at reception tells us that the hotel cancelled the booking with Expedia weeks before. We were not notified by either the hotel or Expedia. The man at the reception then tried to convince us we might be able to stay at a place his friend had (was this the scam all along?). Expedia claims they can't get hold of the hotel (for 8 months) yet they still allow bookings for them on their website. The one time they did get through the hotel told them if we chose not to stay there we don't deserve a refund. Expedia are thick if they don't understand the hotel is the one that turned us away. Glad we never stayed there after the other recent reviews we've seen. Now if only booking sites would remove this place from their offerings.

Please, please do yourselves a favour and don't even think twice about staying at this hotel! It needs to be demolished , would seriously be violating some kind of health standards. Not fit for rats to live in. Absolutely disgusting mould, water leaking through ceilings, stinky like rotten eggs, unclean beds, tiny bathroom. The only and I mean ONLY thing it has going for it is location and you would be better off sleeping on the street than in here! Spend a bit extra find somewhere at least clean

Writing to warn tourists just in case if they care about anything except good location. The place looks horrible inside, the carpets, broken windows, mirrors, missing second pair of keys to fix the blocked sink. Asked 2 days for additional toilet paper. One of dodgy guys at the reception, came once to the room and said " you never paid me the city tax" my response was yes we did, which we did, says a lot about this place. I can't imagine owner is not reading those reviews, can mean only thing, he simply does not care and counts the money at the end of the day. I would never in my life wish myself to stay there again!!!

This hotel is disgustingly unhygienic. You have to go up a million stairs to get to a room and it's so hard when carrying a suitcase. The owners are so rude and unhelpful. The male owner came bashing on my door at 2AM to yell at me and my friend for not closing a door properly, we then got locked out of the hotel at 4AM and he started swearing and abusing us when we woke him up to let us back in. It was too the point locals walked over to make sure myself and my friend were ok. The next morning he then began to bash on our door yelling at us to check out at 8AM even though check out was at 10AM. THERES MOLD EVERYWHERE. DO NOT STAY HERE.

This is a hotel in name only. I have never in my life entered another building as dilapidated as this one. There were termite infested wooden beams throughout, and it would appear that the only reason it has not yet collapsed is that the other buildings to either side of it are somehow supporting the structure. The booking confirmation promised a room with two single beds and a private bathroom. We got one tiny twin bed and a barely functional sink. The shower and toilet were shared down the hallway. The shower drain was literally an uncovered hole in a concrete (not tile or anything bathroomy) floor. The toilet had no seat. They were last cleaned when Marie Antoinette still ruled over France. Fortunately, most of the lights didn't work, so you could barely see the dirt. None of the staff speak anything but French, and aren't willing to patiently wait for a guest to look up the necessary words in a travel dictionary either. Thus addressing grievances proved impossible. My recommendation: Avoid at all cost. Ultimately, a tourist board of health authority ought to shut this place down for good.
