Our family had three rooms at the Hotel Joke over the Christmas holidays and we loved our stay there! The staff is very helpful, especially in giving us suggestions and recommendations around the strikes happening, and always had a list posted on what sites were closed or open around the holidays. The breakfast buffet was sizable and always fresh. The location is a great spot with lots of local cafes and bistros nearby and a short walk into the heart of Montmartre dining. The rooms were comfy and spacious compared to many other European hotels and the housekeeping staff kept the rooms very well-maintained. Our entire room had nothing but great things to say about their stay!

This hotel has such a fun theme, in both the communal areas and the bedrooms. Rooms were very clean. Staff were so friendly and helpful, always there to assist and welcome us. The room had a complimentary non alcoholic mini bar which was restocked daily, an added bonus, and also complimentary snacks were provided in the lobby each afternoon. Location wise we were close to the Moulin Rouge, but had to catch transport to the main attractions (Eiffel Tower, Arch de Triumph etc). Would definitely recommend.

We had had to cancel our previous booking last minute due to a family bereavement, but although the reservation was non-refundable, they waived that condition so we could rebook. The free minibar is a bit oversold - just a couple of bottle of still water, but still a nice touch, and the free afternoon snacks, and the breakfast, were great value. We had a family room, which was 2 interconnected rooms, both very comfortable, and the location, just a short walk from the Moulin Rouge, is fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Stayed here for a few nights with my two children, the location is great with a couple of Metro stations within an easy walk, can get to the Arc de Triomphe in 15 mins. Lots of restaurants nearby and can walk up to the top of Montmartre in 15 mins. Our room was actually 2 inter connected rooms, the one at the back of the hotel very quiet, the one at the front slightly more lively but I liked that. I would also recommend the buffet breakfast, open from 7 to 11 and only cost 10 Euros extra which I thought was great value.

The hotel has a good location. Montmarte is just a few 100 meters away, Moulin Rouge and a metro station approx. 100 m. The hotel is also not on a main street so not loud and no much traffic in front of the hotel. The staff at the reception was also friendly and helpful. The hotel is modern and chic, but it's a budget hotel, so the rooms are small and walls are relativ thin, you could easily hear your neighbor in the next room. But the rooms were clean even so that they could put focus on details, so the bath mat was missing the 2nd day. We haven't breakfast, but what we see was good for Paris and for 10€/person. That the refreshments in the room bar was free and also afternoon snacks was surprising to us and for sure distinguish this hotel from others. So I like to recommend this house even so that the could small improvement in service.

We enjoyed our stay at this joyful hotel! Near Moulin Rouge, very close to the bus, metro. There were also some restaurants and shops nearby. The room is a bit small but for what we need it, it was very good. Every room is colored and has different playful themes. :) Very clean, with fresh towels every day, soap and a safe box. The bevereages from the minibar were free and replaced every day, which it was a great thing. The breakfast was included but was not so variated. In the afternoon there were some free snacks that you could enjoy every day. We recommend it! Enjoy!

We liked this hotel a lot and strongly recommend it. Clean and modern rooms with nice extra touches as to design. Spacious enough (a relief after a previous bad experience elsewhere in a cramped room). Breakfast with a lot of choice: bread, sweet spreads, cheese, fruit, hot dishes,... (more choice than you'd imagine at first when seeing the fairly small buffet corner: the space has been used very efficiently). VERY VERY kind and helpful staff (congrats!). Elevator, but also a clean staircase. Small snacks and non-alcholic drinks for free at the reception during the whole day + free non-alcoholic drinks in the fridge in the room.
Very well located, hardly 3 minutes on foot to metro station "Blanche". But do remember: this is Paris and its neighbourhood Pigalle: bring your ear plugs so as not to be disturbed by noise in the streets at night (I needed them, but the friend I was with didn't).

i stayed 3N in superior (kinda forget the name but not the cheapest/std/deluxe). it was spacious enough for 2 adult 1 kid and some big bags. it's a bright room equipped with bathtub (nice!). the design is so creative. free minibar and refreshed everyday. a room that feels more than 3* hotel. if you need more room space or if you can afford to upgrade to this room, it is really worth. hotel is very nice. nice located, a stone throw from moulin rouge, and from there you can reach the subway (blanche). although it is located in red light district kind area but i feel it is a safe neighborhood. the reception told me which area is considered safe and which area not (since i have trust issue about safety in paris). the design of this hotel is so lively, like the theme "joke". great design from lobby to hallway. big elevator but only one. and like everybody said anytime joke-channel on tv. this hotel (or astotel chain) will not let you hungry since they provide evening to midnight snack and drink at this lobby, i also given a "tour card" to other astotel chain hotel to have snack and drink anywhere. too bad don't have time to do the other hotel tour. a little less good about this hotel is the breakfast. the variety is low and almost the same everyday. but the espresso choice from capsule machine really good!

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Joke in February 2020 for the second time, and we loved it! The hotel is in a great location, our room was clean and comfortable and the food was delicious and plentiful. We thought the free soft drinks, tea, coffee and snacks that were available for most of the day, were a great idea. The hotel staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. My only advice would be that if you are a light sleeper - like me - I would suggest that you book a room that doesn't overlook the main road because it can get a little noisy. The last time we stayed, we were at the back of the hotel and we had no such problems. The next time we are in Paris, we will definitely stay here again.
