I like this hotel, it is in an attractive, safe area near the Saint Sulpice. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. The rooms are however rather small….you have to move a light in order to open the wardrobe door. But if you can overlook this the rooms are comfortable, smart and quiet.

The Hotel Recamier is a beautiful boutique hotel within walking distance of both the Luxemburg Garden and the Seine. The hotel staff was warm and welcoming, assisting with everything from directions to local attractions, arranging an appointment for a blow-out for my hair and securing a reservation at the sold-out Restaurant Semilla.

This hotel couldn't have been better for our trip. We stayed for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. There is always someone at the front desk to help you with anything. We looked forward to coming back each day after sightseeing to complimentary tea and snacks?at 4:00. The bed was comfy and the room is clean, chic and cosy. The...

We had an amazing visit! My wife’s dream was to visit Paris and seeing this was her first trip I wanted to make sure it was special. I don’t think we could have found a better place to stay than The Hôtel Recamier - we loved it! The hotel and rooms are lovely and everyone made sure our stay was...

Stayed here with my fiance in June 2015, absolutely loved it. The hotel is a chic hideaway off Place St Sulpice. Rooms quite small but that's Paris. We stayed in a Deluxe room with a view of the Place, on the second floor, and it was perfect. Bathroom was tight for 2 people at once but the shower was very...

I highly recommend the Hotel Recamier. Although the rooms are on the small size, the location is excellent! The breakfast each morning was very good. Two blocks away from the Saint Sulpice Metro station, you can go anywhere in Paris in a relatively short amount of time. Within walking distance is Notre Dame, the Lourve and Tuileries Garden, Champs-Élysées and...

Stay here for the location. This is my favorite area to stay while in Paris. If only the Ritz could have been moved to the left bank as part of its renovation!! In pure French fashion the hotel is petite - small front desk, small sitting area, small room. Actually, the room was tiny. I was not expecting much but...

Hotel Recamier was a definite highlight of our trip to Paris. It is conveniently located... but not in the very center of all the tourist madness nearby in Saint Germain so it's a nice step away. You feel like you are part of a members only club when you walk in. It is a small entryway but it feels very...

We chose the hotel based on the great reviews and location and it didn't disappoint! Cecile and Jessica at reception were absolutely wonderful helping us access our local sim card. There was a gorgeous handwritten congratulations note, chocolate and champagne for our honeymoon. Stay at the recamier, you'll love it!! Make sure you walk in Luxembourg gardens at 7.30am for...

I booked this hotel for a weekend trip with my daughter in early June. We had a wonderful time and the hotel was just what we wanted. Tucked in a corner overlooking the church in a really lovely area. The staff were very helpful especially Cecilia on the front desk - she arranged restaurant bookings and provided helpful advice. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Discreetly nestled behind the trees on Place Saint Sulpice in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés area, Hotel Récamier is about to become a new exclusive address in Paris. The hotel should meet the expectations of travellers in search of confidential addresses such as those exchanged between well travelled and demanding friends.Half of the 24 rooms have a direct view on the place. The rooms have been superbly revamped by the renowned interior designer Jean Louis Deniot who was inspired to create 24 entirely different rooms with one theme per floor. On a classical basis he has added some eclecticism inspired by the various 20th century decorative styles.
