Hotel Recamier was a definite highlight of our trip to Paris. It is conveniently located... but not in the very center of all the tourist madness nearby in Saint Germain so it's a nice step away. You feel like you are part of a members only club when you walk in. It is a small entryway but it feels very...

We chose the hotel based on the great reviews and location and it didn't disappoint! Cecile and Jessica at reception were absolutely wonderful helping us access our local sim card. There was a gorgeous handwritten congratulations note, chocolate and champagne for our honeymoon. Stay at the recamier, you'll love it!! Make sure you walk in Luxembourg gardens at 7.30am for...

I booked this hotel for a weekend trip with my daughter in early June. We had a wonderful time and the hotel was just what we wanted. Tucked in a corner overlooking the church in a really lovely area. The staff were very helpful especially Cecilia on the front desk - she arranged restaurant bookings and provided helpful advice. The...

Just returned from our third stay at this boutique hotel in the charming St. Germain area. Sorry to say the hotel is looking a little less lovely than on previous occasions. Carpets are worn and stained; housekeeping is uneven; and there appear to be fewer staff to service guests. A few examples: During a 5-night stay, we had turndown service...

We had a great but short stay at this lovely hotel in St Germain (Latin quarter). Great design, super service and lovely ambience. The area is very romantic and is probably the nicest are of Paris. Great restaurants and cafes everywhere as are the shops in the area. Also remember to stop by Le Bon Marche; one of the greatest...

My husband took me to Paris to celebrate my Birthday. We choose Hotel Recamier because on line the rooms looked nice and modern no fussy decor. Upon arriving we were upgraded to a room on the 5th floor. Our room was spacious, the bathroom was large and when standing on the juliette balcony you could see the Eiffer Tower. The...

This boutique hotel is right next to the Saint Suplice church in the St Germain area of Paris. From here it is easy to walk to the Latin Quarter or the restaurants and shops in this area. It is also very close to a metro station. I chose this hotel because I have a hard time sleeping and wanted a...

If you are looking for a small luxury hotel in a quintessential Left Bank neighborhood, Hotel Recamier will not disappoint you. We spent four nights there on our recent visit to Paris and were thoroughly pleased. The reception was friendly and courteous, the room was comfortable (though small by US standards) and breakfast more than adequate. But what pleased was...

This was our third trip in twelve months & it was even better than the last two trips. The room (a club) had a view over the Place Saint Sulpice & was spacious, comfortable & the decor beautiful. The location is ideal & surprisingly quiet. The small lounge is also very attractive & comfortable. The staff are without exception charming...

My 12-year old daughter and I recently returned from Paris. We stayed at the Hotel Recamier for several nights. If you like charming hotels in quiet neighborhoods with excellent shopping, dining and beautiful sights, then this hotel is a perfect choice. The hotel is right across from Saint Sulpice church and the views of the church and fountain are terrific....

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Discreetly nestled behind the trees on Place Saint Sulpice in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés area, Hotel Récamier is about to become a new exclusive address in Paris. The hotel should meet the expectations of travellers in search of confidential addresses such as those exchanged between well travelled and demanding friends.Half of the 24 rooms have a direct view on the place. The rooms have been superbly revamped by the renowned interior designer Jean Louis Deniot who was inspired to create 24 entirely different rooms with one theme per floor. On a classical basis he has added some eclecticism inspired by the various 20th century decorative styles. You will find neither hyper exuberance nor minimalism: here we are talking real Parisian elegance. ... more   less
