Perfect for those who are used to b&b or hostels and just need a good bed and a shower at the end of the day. A modest hotel but bathrooms were always clean and very good shower. The localisation is also an advantage, as it’s near touristic places and near the station “gare du Nord”. We also recommend purchase the...

Walkng distance to the Sacré Coeur and the Moulin Rouge. Not the nicest area but well connected. Next to a Metro stop. Friendly and helpful staff and a lovely cat! Small room with a basin and shared bathroom. Narrow stairs and no lift. Some rooms are ensuite I believe. If you just want somewhere to crash while you explore Paris...

I stayed here a while back and i have to say that it was the best location ever, however it was abit old and there is one hallway bathroom and so you have to get out of your room to get to the bathroom. It is ideal for people who do not intend to stay in or sleep in. Its...

Seeking no fuss or frills (with a limited budget) and wanting good free WIFI (essential) I stayed here for one night only. It's in the beautiful and utterly charming Montmatre area of Paris close to the delightful Sacre Coeur cathedral atop the hill in the 18th Arr area of the city (within 20minutes walking distance of the Gare Du Nord...

The staff were all very helpful and kind, helped with any queries and the left luggage facility was a god send for the last day, even had our drinks kept cold while we were out exploring Paris, the location is brilliant for the Anvers metro station and with the sacre couer behind it there was plent to see and do.

Considering how expensive even 'cheap' hotels can be in Paris, this one is a good deal. Located close to the Anvers station, it is both close to Sacré Coeur and the Opéra neighbourhood. The decoration is old but the rooms comfortable and clean. The hotel is pretty calm. And if you intend to see a concert at La Cigale, la...

We stayed here over New Year and had a few minor problems within are stay but found the staff were very helpful and friendly, apart from one. 1) We came back about 1am and had to ring the buzzer to get into the hotel, but there was no answer, eventually after a few minutes and a few more rings on...

We stayed for 1 night whilst going to a concert at the Cigale which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The location is great, near the metro station and walking distance from the Gare De Nore (with a good map). The room and shared toilet were very clean. Our room was at the rear at there was little...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
