we have been several times at Central Hotel because it is next to Gare Montparnasse. We come from Orly airport and Gare Montparnasse is just 25 mins by bus. from the airport we board the AirFrance bus to Montparnasse and then it is just 5 mins to the hotel. Very helpful staff. I would rate the hotel as a 3...

Really good hotel. Excellent service, friendly and accommodating staff. They kept our luggage after check out. We had coffee in the room as we don't take breakfast. The first time we went, we got upgraded to a room on the 4th floor. The second time, the room was not as nice, bit noisier (on the 2nd floor), with the street...

This is the second time that we have visited this hotel. The first time we had one of the lovely rooms as shown in the publicity photo above. We thought that they were all like that, but were mistaken! This time we were shown to a room which was a "bit tired" and would have been acceptable had we not...

I choose this hotel as it is very close to the TGV train station and I arrived mid night by train. Staff was helpful. The room is basic, the problem is no sound proof at all. My room was very nice the reception and I can hear people coming and going non stop even after mid night. Could not sleep...

I stayed here this weekend.Central hotel is a 3* hotel situated five minutes walk from Montparnesse rail and metro stations..The staff are informative ( bilingual) and friendly and allow guests to leave luggage in the hotel after checkout so you can enjoy Paris on your departure day without having to worry about your luggage. Bedrooms are clean and well appointed,...

We found this hotel by chance, walking around in Paris, trying to find a hotel, as the one we had reserved seemed awful. We talked wirth the kind concierge who let us see a few rooms. We liked it, and chose a room with AC, which was 20 euros more expensive than a room without it. It is August so...

The location of Central Hotel is absolutely great. The street itself is full of restaurants and bars, a walk away from Montparnasse tower. The staff were very kind and gentle. The room is minimal, don't expect much. Air conditioner was missing in my room (single bed). All in all, this hotel does the job very well.

I stayed there on June 21st, the day of the French music festival. There was some music at some neighbor bar but it did not disburb at all due to very good soundproofing. Inside the hotel it was quiet too. The people at the reception were very kind. Breakfast is at 7:00 am.

We stayed for 4 nights. Location is good, near 2 stations (Edgar quinet & Montparnasse). Room was clean but small (although was known at booking room would be small). Breakfast was limited in choice. Front desk staff spoke English in varying degrees but in general was good.

This hotel looks quite pleasant but management is NOT honest. Stayed here on Tuesday March 15, 2016. It was a cool day and the evening cold. Heat was shut off at about 10:00 PM as the radiators were absolutely COLD in my room. As well, Internet was NON FUNCTIONING for the better part of the night! Room was quite COLD...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
