We loved it. All the complaints about room size & lift?! Really you're in Paris!!! Not a big deal at all. Location was great, don't hesitate. Front desk was helpful, spoke English, and made us feel welcome. Good value for money.

I stayed at the Relais du Marais for a night while passing through Paris in early November 2016. I had a lot of bags to carry and I was very pleased by how friendly and helpful the staff were. They helped me carry my bags in and out of the hotel into the taxi -- simple things but rare in...

I think it's expensive as the room is pretty small but it's convenient and clean, okay for one person not for two, the location is great near the metro stations and near Place de la Republique & Mairie du 3eme in between Le Marais & Republique. Also note that hotels in Central Paris are expensive anyway.

This is a well located hotel both for access to the Metro and for the many attractions that the Marais area has to offer, shopping , dining , and culture. The rooms are spotlessly clean and stylish. The staff are always friendly and on hand to assist in any way that they can. This has become my hotel of choice...

This was our first hotel in Paris and it was very disappointing! Staff where very unfriendly at reception when we checked in. Our room was a very small double room on a very busy and noisy road. We where charged fifteen euros for booking a taxi to Disney and the breakfast room was very small and was not big enough...

Although this hotel is close to the metro stations, we found this to be in a seedy area of Paris & did not feel that comfortable walking nearby at night. We were taunted twice by street/homeless people. The elevator could barely accommodate 2 people, never mind if you had larger luggage (which we did not have). The rooms were tiny,...

A warm welcome by Madjid who was always very pleasant and helpful. A tiny single room which is normal for Paris but attractive modern decor, adequate wardrobe space and a very comfortable bed. The room and the equally modern bathroom were immaculately clean. The window opened onto what looked like a large ventilation shaft but its walls were nicely covered...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome home, welcome home! The Hotel Le Relais du Marais is, above all, a human adventure. One undertaken in 2001 by the Pirbay family around a favourite, although very ambitious, project to transform a modest hotel in the Rue de Turbigo into a chic and welcoming three star establishment. It’s a unique place of its kind. A place where it's good to be received, to spend time, to work. An address that is different from other hotels in Paris; distinguished by a strong sense of warmth, of welcome, of attentiveness to the needs of guests. An establishment whose commitment to quality does not detract from the hospitality offered, and whose contemporary decor does not lessen its historic charm. With the assistance of a firmly united team, loyal and friendly, the proprietors seek to transcend traditional hotel codes to shape the hotel of their dreams. One where there is always a kind word, a listening ear and personal attention awaiting guests. One where, far from any overtly commercial attitude and impersonally antiseptic atmosphere, everyone can feel at home while they are away from home. It’s a home from home. ... more   less

“As with Parisien hotels and apartments our room was the standard please do not expect it to be like your own bedroom at home unless you book a larger room. The room was very quite with no exterior noise the bed was comfortable and we both slept very well”
