We recently stayed at the Hotel Helder Opera. It's small and easy to miss, but this is common in Paris. Inside, we were greeted by a friendly and helpful young woman. Our room was set up for 2 persons. It was small but very clean and had what we needed, a large, comfortable bed ! Soap and shampoo, as well... More

Wonderful location near Opera Garnier, gallerie LaFayette and Printemps. Ten minutes from champ elisee. Close to metro RER A. Nice staff. Quite and clean room. Breakfast €12, better go to Starbucks at 100 meters.

I was staying in this 3* hotel for 4 nights to attend "Paris Photo" fair. Pros: 1) great location - city center, 5 min walking from Opera (easy connection to CDG airport with Roissy Bus), 3 min from metro and in the main shopping area 2) very nice staff - polite, attentive and ready to help 3) clean, warm and... If you aren't looking for a fancy or expensive hotel, this is a good choice. Reasonable and clean. Really have no reason to complain about this hotel. Small toilets, but it is hard to fix when the building is so old. Call it charm. Would stay again.

For our visit to Paris, we decided to stay at Helder Opera simply because of being in the city center. From very first day of arrival to the last day , the staff were very kind and welcoming. Our room was very clean and every day was tidied. The location was perfect, we could find very good restaurants nearby. There... More

I stayed one night in the hotel which is very well located at a walking distance from Paris attractions and shopping. The lady had an extremely good welcoming and provided me with the room early. Room was small but confortable. I recommend the hotel

The location of this hotel is great and despite the entrance - it is clean and functional inside. The breakfast is good and we were offered fresh croissants, even though we were the last guests for breakfast that morning. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Hotel's location is amazing. You can walk to Louvre or Champ-Elyees. There are a lot of metro station, market, cafe, restaurant, fast food near the hotel. The room is small but clean. Bath is very small and the negative issue is sound insulation. The staff is kind (as all Frenchs are) and helpfull. Wi-fi is very good.

Great hotel with really nice and helpful personnel! Small room and tiny bathroom, but they had the nicest and biggest towels I have ever been provided at any hotel before. On the negative side the bed was a little bit too firm for my choice. All in all - a good choice for a short city break. I'll be back... More

Really nice hotel. Would recommend it to anyone! Spotless clean, Mini bar, great staff, central location. Just returned from a 3 night visit and will definitely return. Well worth the money. Receptionist (lady with black hair and smiled all the time) was really really nice and a credit to the hotel. She gave us any information we needed during our... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
