Below are notes that I took while in Paris and saved in my phone for future reference for this review. Just as a heads up-- this is one of the toughest reviews I have had to give because there were some really great things about the hotel and then some really average and not-so-great things. Keep that in mind if...

Just a quick review, This hotel is perfect if your on a budget, we paid £80 per night bed and continental breakfast. located a 5 min walk from luxembourg tube station, and a 15 min walk to Notre Dame. Its not a luxurious hotel but if your in Paris and just looking for a hotel for you base and to...

This is an acceptable, comfortable hotel in a good location: about 10min down a hill to the Luxembourg Gardens, and probably a 15min walk to the Notre Dame. Our room for a three night stay was small and clean, but didn't fit a big suitcase on the floor, so it might've been comfortable for us, but would be pretty restricted...

I liked the Hotel , the rooms were small but clean.......comfy bed ..nicely decorated...The location was wonderful...Our's included breakfast but we never ate there because the breakfast room was in the basement.....Who goes to Paris and eats in the basement? There are loads of outdoor cafes close with better veiws. Good value for the money it was about $186.00 Canadian...

FOUR DAY STAY WITH DAUGHTER IN TWIN BED ROOM: We stayed here end of September, beginning of October 2011. PROS: Nice, clean room, albeit small by USA sizes. Has Air conditioning, a BIG PLUS. Safe and fairly quiet by European standards. I would stay here again. Very luxurious (but small) bathroom with nice modern fixtures. Hair dryer, shampoo, soap in...

The hotel was in a good location, only 5-10 minutes walk from the Luxembourg gardens and the RER B station. Although quite pricey for what it offers, i would recommend it to business travellers that just want a clean hotel for a couple of nights in Paris. The hotel was very clean (almost the only thing that i check in...

i will not be returning to this hotel. the location is lovely, quiet, cafe culture, out of the tourist flow. a pleasant 5 / 10 min walk from transport, would feel safe after dark. the room was lovely. we had a double room with a cot bed added for an extra adult. it was clean, modern, not too small. great...

Hotel is okay for the price. Just make sure that your reservation states all the "perks" the web sites promise, ie., breakfast, WiFi, etc. We were informed at check-in that our booking did not include breakfast as we expected. Also, the area is pretty dark at night with almost nothing open nearby. As for breakfast: no problem, just walk north...

This hotel was perfect for our purpose- to see the city. The location is brilliant, as all others have mentioned, just a short stroll to the heart Paris. The metro station was a mere 5minute walk, which had direct links to the airport for just 9euros. The hotel was clean, comfortable and very friendly, using their many languages effectively. I...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
