The rooms are small (by North American standards) but typical of many European hotels. The location of this hotel is excellent. Close to The Patheon, Notre Dame de Paris and the Luxemburg Gardens and Palace. You are within walking distance to all three. For all the other attractions I would suggest taking the hop-on / hop off bus. The people...

Everything was just perfect - charming Parisian hotel, great location, clean and big enough (for Parisian 3* standards) room and bathroom, excellent breakfast! Will come back for sure! People should realize that Paris is not Sahara and every inch matters. Adjust your expectations for the place where are you going and the money you are spending for hotel! Then you...

Public areas nicely decorated. Bedroom was small but clean, and was pleasantly surprised to find a bath squeezed into the tiny bathroom. There is a lift; which is always a bonus in Paris! We were disappointed to find the hotel bar closed earlier than stayed as we would have liked to have tried a cocktail or two in our visit....

Thank you Louise U for sharing your experience at Hotel Andre Latin. We are glad you enjoyed the setting and the location to explore the city. Our new cocktail bar has gotten popular but our barman has been on sick leave for a few days. We hope you will be able to come back to try any of the cocktails...

We opted for a superior room, which was on the 6th floor. It was quiet, clean and as big as most UK rooms, and the heating worked (useful in January). There is no evening restaurant, but a breakfast room for €12 or breakfast in the bar for €8. The bar closes early, and is closed evenings on Sunday and Monday....

Hello Vic G, thank you for your message - Our new coktail bar is finding its public among hotel guests and also locals. All the pretty girls in the reception did appreciate your comment ;-)

Visited this hotel over the New Year period. The staff were friendly enough (except the barman who wouldn't open my wine), but I felt the rooms were terrible. They were so small, poorly lit, uncomfortable beds and the walls were covered in white marks where it had obviously been filled in. I know we will definitely be staying elsewhere when...

This hotel is reasonably priced - until you realize that the rooms are the size of closets, they will charge you for ice, and the elevator can barely hold your suitcase. Don't be tempted by the price! They didn't even clean our room he first day we were there! We were, and had to leave early because we just couldn't...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
