The receptionists are very friendly. I stayed in a 3 bed female dorm. The beds were comfortable and I was supplied an extra pillow when I asked. The bathroom is very small but it was clean. My only problem was that the shower curtain was dark blue so when you close it there was no light and you could not...

Stayed here 5 years ago and it hasn't changed on my return. That is not a positive thing. My room looked a little tired and could use a spruce up. And get new beds! Seriously! Toilets were pretty good condition and looked new. And the free breakfast is terrible. Honestly guys. We know its free, but its Paris, at least...

We stayed here as a family for 5 days early december. It is the most fantastic location, it a really beautiful section of Paris with really interesting shops and restaurants close by as well as close to metro. When we arrived, we were upgraded to our own bathroom instead of share. All the staff were wonderful for our whole stay,...

My friend and I stayed in a private twin room in early December, the hostel is in Montmartre so it is easy to get to using the public transport (either to Square Caulaincourt on the bus or to Lamarck-Caulaincourt on the metro). The staff we not extremely friendly but we're not rude. The hostel does not offer a lift and...

The staff at this hotel are very kind and helpful. The hostel is very close to a metro station, is in a lovely area which feels quite safe, and is extremely good value for money. This is my second visit and I would recommend it as a place to stay.

This hostel was lovely although the stairs that you have to climb down to access any room does not mix well with a large and heavy suitcase (along with heeled boots - speaking from experience). The staff were friendly and the location in the heart of Montmatre was so useful for seeing the city - we ended up walking pretty...

I spent 5 nights at this hostel and not once felt like a guest. The service was terrible, directions were given wrong, the toilet didnt flush properly, the drains emitted a strong filthy oder that filled the room and finally, at request for a taxi to get to our train on time there was a 45 minuet wait in the...

I will stay here again because it s close to the metro station, besidesthe neighbourhood is prety. I m agree with the breakfast. I cannot stand the ¿owner? Attitud, (a woman), due to she has a disden behaviour. It s an antique building but it s clean.

Being in Paris, this was one of the pricier places I stayed during my trip around Europe, however you wouldn’t think it! The place was average. It’s a lot bigger inside than it first impresses. We stayed in a 6 man dorm which just about squeezed 6 of us in. The shower room was separate and the toilet was separate...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
