The 5th floor room I was given had a bed full of bed bugs, and it had hair in the toilet. I was given a room on the 1st floor and discovered at 5am that it also had bed bugs. You can also hear other guests snoring through the walls. Stay somewhere else.

We are inter-railing and we needed a place to stay for an extra night in Paris, as the train we reserved wasn’t for another night. We chose this hotel as it was cheap and looked clean! The room was clean but old fashioned and had no air-con, so was pretty unbearable. We had to

I stayed at this hotel when I was at Interrail during the easter 2018. The hotel was chosen based on price and distance to the train station. The hotel has a simple standard and is not exactly in the most exciting area, but if you can live with it, this is a OK hotel to stay at.

Walkable from Eurostar, this charming little Parisian hotel is great value. The staff behind the tiny reception were all kind & helpfull. My first allocated room was a bit claustrophobic with the view of the light well, however i was moved next day to a better room.

The hotel is in a great location, very vibrant neighbourhood. You are 5 minutes walk from two metro stations - République and Jacques Bonsergent. So it is very easy to get to the main sites. To be honest I walked to most of the main attractions and the area was safe even for a

Hello there, That might depend on a number factors. However if you have a smart phone you might consider getting the “RATP: Subway Paris” App’. “Subway” is misleading, since you can search also bus and tram routes. For example, I have just started this App’ For “Current location” I start typing “Republic” (the nearest Metro stop). It is found (after typing repub) and I select it. Next in the “To” field I type eiff and it picks up “Champ de-mars-Tour eiffel”. So I select this. You can at this time hit the “Search” button, but to have more control, if you hit “Options”, you can choose these options: All modes Rail Bus,tram I select Rail, and then I hit “Search” In seconds it shows me the route and the estimated time. (And a pictorial Map). The first time I did this (it calculates in “real” time), it was about 17 minutes duration (I forgot the two lines). But just now, it shows estimated travel 18 ½ mins as follows: Metro line 8 (direction/end of line) Balard Leave at station La Motte-Picquet-Grenelle (the stations on the way are also shown). You then walk to Metro line 6 (direction/end of line) Charles de Gaulle-Etoile You then travel one stop to Bir-Hakeim. Then you leave the subway and walk for four or so minutes. The bus can be a lot more interesting, but you need to be more confident. It would be a good idea to get a small atlas map/book of Paris that includes a Metro map. After a little practice and journeys your mobility and confidence will quickly grow. You can also buy metro tickets online in the UK before your travel. Search for helloparis Good luck.
