There were good and bad points to my stay in this hotel. The bedding was nice...bed sheet, duvet, pillowslips were all clean, white, unstained. (Three pillows provided, soft medium and firm.) But there were stains (or possibly bleached marks) on the carpet. It's an old building, of course, so it's not pristine, and the room was small, but that's to be expected....

Heater not working. You can hear the wind howling thru the windows. Staff so, so. Almost as if their doing me a favour. Was a convenient location and when it's colder inside than outside. Take a pass.

This is supposed to be a budget hotel but I received great value for money, considering the price, i was impressed by the room - spacious and comfortable with large windows that open out onto almost a balcony - very french, the view, the location ( close to La Republique, Jacques Bonsergent and Chateau d'eau stations) and of course the...

This is a pleasant and relaxed old style French Hotel Hotel does have a lift and although old style the rooms were well equipped with TV, Ensuite and even Hair Dryer. It has a great location just off La Republic. The area/locality is pleasant (I was surprised to see that at the moment there are quite a few areas of...

Good hotel for a short stay. Helpful staff. Close to the Metro and right in between what I would call a true Parisian neighbourhood. Plenty of restaurants and bars around the hotel. Close to all the sites you want to see in Paris

Just got back from this hotel and it was perfect for what we needed and what we paid for. I personally loved the old French style and was one of the reasons why I booked it. The staff were friendly, helpful and not over bearing which is great. The location was perfect for us as it was great for lots...

An excellent base, close to the Place de la Republique, handy for the metro, but also for a quiet walk by the canal. Local markets, restaurants and bars are good, too, if you want to take s break from the tourist centre.

Really, really basic but for the cost is somewhere to sleep that has easy access to Metro. No air conditioning or fan so very hot at time of year we visited (July). Staff were friendly enough but would not recommend to friends. Unless you are on a very tight budget suggest paying a little more for somewhere a bit nicer.

I find it interesting that there are so few reviews on this hotel. This hotel was one of the worst I have ever stayed in. It was horrible, very run down, dirty, noisy and didn't feel very safe. When we checked in, we went up to our room and discovered that the ceiling was leaking in the bathroom. When I...
