The hotel has been recently refurbished and looks nice, our room was very small at the top under under the roof so very low ceiling meaning no standing shower. Also the bathroom seemed to be an after thought as you could not actually sit on the toilet. No do not disturb sign meant housekeeping waking us! Bed was hard as...

Great location close to metro and buses. Restaurants and supermarkets all within walking distance. Rooms are small but typical of hotels of this type in Paris, still enjoyed the stay, lovely helpful staff.

This is a lovely hotel in the perfect location, right in the heart of the Marais with lots of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. We have stayed in about five different Paris hotels and this is the one we will return to. We booked a standard room and it was exactly as advertised on the hotel's website. It was...

This is a fabulous little hotel in a very convenient location. We love staying in the Le Marais area, and now we have found a great little hotel. The rooms have been refurbished and are modern and comfortable, although small, but who cares as we prefer to be out enjoying Paris. The bathroom is modern and warm. The staff in...

Easy hotel with excellent location in Marais area, near the shopping streets and plenty of restaurants. Stylish rooms and good breakfast. Rooms not too big (specially the toilet) but in line with other hotels in Paris. Good quality for the price.

Another great stay at this delightful, clean and comfortable hotel. Two nights spent showing my sister around Paris and I am so glad I chose this hotel again off the back of my first stay there in February. Rooms are small, but that doesn't matter when one is spending all day outdoors exploring the city.

positive: nice location in trendy Marais, 10min. walk to Metro; building/lobby/rooms are historical style (half timber ceilings), very friendly receptionists, toilet/shower in seperate rooms negative: very small room (even for Paris), view from the window was into a shaft with a very noisy blower going on and off throughout the night (room number 503), breakfast in the basement was very...

Stayed here for 7 nights as home base for visiting Paris and day trips to Versailles, Giverny and the Loire Valley Chateaux. In the Maris with many wonderful restaurants, markets and shopping. Very much a neighborhood and quiet side streets. Close to Metro and Uber an is under 5 minutes to the door. This small hotel was the home of...

When it comes to Paris, you can make very good choices with hotes like Hotel Saintonge. The hotel has only 3 stars, but that is in a way an understatement. Sure, there is no big fancy lobby and no huge breakfast buffet. However, the rooms are neat and clean, and recently rennovated, and the hotel's location is just hard to...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
